There's places in the hills that are less than that. Kalamunda and Lesmurdie have places for less than 600k.
Lived in Maida Vale as a kid for a couple of years so know that area and it's nice but the problem is you probably have to work a fair way away out of the hills and then have to spend ages driving in traffic. And still expensive.

Treeless suburbs can * right off.

Even the new suburbs are still big blocks compared to most places. You don't need 2,000 sqm to plant a couple of trees. I've got a couple of small native trees and shrubs, and there's a verge jacaranda. Wayyy better than endless dead/fake lawn or sand.

Just don't plant a Cape Lilac. They are ****ed.

Popped up to the local school market - grabbed some prawns and going to throw them on the barbie and have them with a delish salad.
The joys of summer

I had lobster last week. Paired it with a greek salad and fresh bread.
