full leaks confirmed
jj had an interview hours ago where he confirmed some tiny bits of detail that confirm the leaks in retrospect.
also, a swedish film review station got to watch tros and let slip more details that confirm the very ending of the film matches the leaks.

that sidious shoots tons of lightning at rey and ben, weakening them despite them deflecting some of it with their sabers, they drop to their knees and sidious proceeds to suck the life force from them, and with this power, then shoots lightning into the atmosphere destroying resistance fleets lol. then ben manages to get back up to have a go at sidious but sidious shoots him down a bottomless pit. ben manages to climb back out and gives all his life force to dying rey, he kisses rey as he does this and he dies, rey is now back to full health and all these force ghosts now give rey all their power too, and proclaim her the real chosen one. she picks up lukes and leias sabers and deflects sidious's lightning back at him, easily defeating him within seconds, turning him into literal dust. the planet exogol is collapsing and she has to make a tomb raider-like escape from the planet, which she does. cut to rey on tatooine staring out to the twin suns and a local woman asks who she is, she answers, rey, rey skywalker. roll credits.

the end of SW as we know it.

Sad

I haven't been reading theories and shit but this morning I just had a thought that makes sense and ties everything together.

Rey is the recarnation of Anakin Skywaker but doesn't know it. It explains why shes the focus of this trilogy, her untrained ability, her connection to her saber, her connection to Kylo, the film title, why she looks a bit like mother/padme, why Anakin has been absent this whole time when someone like Yoda pops up, even why Leia was drawn to hug her and not Chewie when Han died. Anakin knows the Emperor is still linging and slowly building his power once more, influencing the likes of Ben Solo, and even Luke, so through the Force makes a return to the living to finish the job. It would also explain Reys 'purity' for a lack of a better word as he/she has alreasy been through the journey to the darkside.

It even explains why Luke for a brief moment thought to kill his nephew before stopping himself as the Emperor influence for a moment took hold. If its the Luke we grew up with who would never do that then he knows it himself and shut himself away not trusting himself. The Emperor may even be be aware of Anakins plot or may have been the one to do do the map to Luke Skywalker in the first place as a gimmick to test Kylo but Rey got there first.

#Betterthantherealthing

The problem with having such a rich universe to 'play' in, that anyone can come up with great stories - filling in plot holes with new information.

Put a team to do it by committee, and everyone argues loudest over their one important thing, and you get a disjointed, piecemeal approach that doesn't satisfy anybody.

i wonder if a future SST will hav

that works in theory, but the problem is that KK etc havent gone that route, rey is just
the grandaughter of Sheev Palpatine and daughter of Yan Palpatine. Yans backstory will be released as a book in early 2020. Rey is just over powered and not anakin reborn etc

how else can i respond to his theory, but spoiler it for everyone else too. stop being such a nancy boy

You can respond by saying "that's a nice theory" or not responding to people who clearly don't wanna be spoiled. Really not difficult.

he said theories btw not spoilers.
hes likely read the spoilers to come up with that theory.

Yes very likely he's been reading all the spoilers but REFUSES to read theories.

Problem with leaks is they sound lame on paper. But that TV spot with Kylo meeting going down the elevator with Vader, smoke and paps was awesome.
yes true, and the movie really does look amazing...but theres still a story to be told and little plot points that can be bad or sit uneasy with lore/fans. eh, tlj had a a pointless story with a ton of controversial plot points....it looked amazing in trailers but the story experience still sucked. if youd known the full story leaks of tlj pre-release youd still have hated what was done with the story and characters before seeing it.

Another thing I forgot to mention

Anakin Skywalkers recarnation goes back to the dialogue Palpatine and he had about discovering the secret to creating life. Anakin discovering it without the Emperor realising it and tie it up in this film.
