I doubt anyone disagrees but who has 6-8 mins to eat leftover pizza, that is a 'i need it now' decision (30 secs in microwave aside)

I'd argue that with the microwave, you're either waiting a couple of minutes for the cheese to stop bubbling, or putting it back in for 30 more seconds, because half of it still feels cold.

True, 30 secs aint enough, minute too much. too lazy to press a different number so either have it half cold or burn the s**t out of my mouth. Meh

I was drinking a rather vulgar domestic rosé with my grilled chicken and avo in Turkish bread
My wife says when does that crap wine run out.
I say we have about 4 boxes
She says can we give it away, life is too short to drink bad wine.
I grab my glass fill it with about 25% cold water (like they do in European restaurants)
and viola (thats French for here it is a big violin)
She goes this is nice
and it was
got rid of the angry edges and made it more lunchtime quaffy :moustache:

we now have 5 boxes

I've never seen that, but in summer a couple of ice cubes is normal. It's a piscine.

I doubt they will let you see it
Most house wine is served in carafes not bottles

I used to go to this place in Sicily and order wine for lunch and then again for dinner, the lunch time wine was always weaker I just assumed
It was ok though you could have a litre and still be right (half each maybe 60/40)

Ah ok. I thought you meant people do it to their own drinks. I used to work at a bar who bought their spirits in Italy then pour it into French bottles out the back.

You buy wine in boxes?

Good grief

At least catfish jake cut his goon with fanta

At least you haven't gone full hippy and trying to make your own wine I guess

Ex-boss started to chill his reds to take the edge off, I thought it was quite heathenistic but wasn't bad on the hotter days
Normally acclimatised by the 3rd bottle
Got a mate who has the wine fridge set to the "perfect temperature" for his reds.

Buy some cocaine and glucodin and apply the same principle = $$$

Freeze a few grapes so you can cool your wine down in summer. It doesn't dilute it.

Was drinking warm beer with work colleagues last week, they requested ice cubes, I'd rather drink it warm.
Ice cubes in beer would just make it taste like American 'beer'.

I just started to put the reds in the fridge for 20 minutes before opening it makes a difference in Qld with a room temp of 30c
Gets rid of the hot alcohol mouth feel and drives the fruits forward

20-22c is the sweet spot for most reds isn't it?
I've heard of people serving lighter styles at an even lower temp.
