So bottom line if the powers to be took note of the percentages instead of political posturing and only reacting to the actual number of "positive" tests Victoria is tracking about the same as the rest of the country. Hmmm, definitely no hidden agendas anywhere to be seen!

the states is irrelevant. The football is bigger than the states.
If it moves to NZ or Tiwi Islands it moves to NZ or Tiwi Islands
Rather play E girls , remember last year after GWS debacle ? We travelled to port as under dogs with no dusty and won . Could have been good the team to reset in an away trip etc .

Unless the AFL and teams agree to create a hub and play in one area but unlikely that will happen. Players are reluctant to move away from their family.

McGowan lets Vic teams in by making them quarantine for 2 weeks, same as everyone else. even the eagles are quarntining for 2 weeks when they get back

No wonder WA are opening back up, no tests = no positives right, under those numbers they have tested only 6.7% approx of their state compared to 12.2% approx here in Victoria.
Can't wait for their outbreaks after letting people into Optus stadium.

and the nature of travel is that most of the countries international arrivals come in thru Sydney & Melb. , our two biggest cities
testing has been high in those cities
there are still tiny numbers in NSW and these increasing numbers in Victoria
our numbers are way lower than most other countries even now

I was hearing that some southern US states were recording 1,000+ new cases per day , I think Texas was one and its population is similar to ours
1000+ versus 52 per day
we have to hope at current levels it can be identified , traced and confined
I'm hopeful we will keep it under control
and if Victoria can quickly return to 1 -5 cases per day boarders might open in late July/August
on current form we have plenty to do but if we can charge home like last year the back end of the season could be very enjoyable …. again

Why should states with no cases be vigilant on testing? There’s no way for it to spread.
It’s not hard to wash your hands and keep distance

Which is what Victorians are doing,well washing hands,it is pretty hard when going to collect some groceries that you come in contact with others.
Sth Australia is larger in size with a much smaller population and not as multiculturally diverse as Victoria.
