Many stupid errors from our team, but we were outplayed in the centre, Simpkin was injured, Jed was just ok and Goldy down on his usual output.

Defence was very good with the exception of some standard Jmac rubbish.

Forward line not great again. Brown got beaten, Larkey Didn't get much of it but took his chances.
LDU Taylor, Mahony ineffective.

Not going anywhere with brainless players in the team though, not matter how athletic they are.

In the last Q there was a passage when he ws going after the ball. He slowed down so he could trail in his opponent. He didn't want it.

Fair enough the angst towards Pittard, but does anyone think we would have felt that much better had we pinched it?

Win lose draw, that was a painful game to watch and still a depressing look at the rest of the season.

Shaw needs to concede the season now and prepare for 2021, no more playing senior players who have no future with us, players underdone, and players who make fundamental errors over and over again.

we did better, but i reckon if it was dry conditions all day, carlton looked like they would have cut us up, efficiency looked better, pressured us more, and locked the ball in our D50 for longer.

We have to change the way we use Brown, even the commentators are openly pointing out that he lacks the body strength to hold position, he can't be the target for the outlet kick from defence (having said that we should stop taking that option all the time).

I'm sure Macmillan and Pittard did some good things, but my god their mistakes stood out oh so much this game. Macmillan dropping mark after mark even under no or minimal pressure, couple of dropped marks from pittard (albeit during the heavy rain), and that brain fade on the siren at three quarter time.

Walker was good, took his marks, closed down on their forwards well. Lmac also played well, though he should have been on Cripps from the start, that Polec move was absolutely baffling. Scott kicked well and took his opportunities, and Larkey came in and played pretty well, though you could tell him and Brown still need to work on their patterns.

LDU didn't look up to speed yet, though it didn't make much sense to me to have him play scratch matches in midfield then have him play forward and back, did he attend a single centre bounce?

Blaming the umpires every week (same poster) says a lot about their ability as a football analyst.

LDU deserves time. Could show far more urgency as he cruises in 2nd gear - it's no longer junior footy.
