The more important figure is how well/badly the storm game rated in Melbourne.
If League didn't originate out of Sydney, it would much bigger than it is now.
I don't think the game is bad, it just comes from a city that doesn't give a stuff about anything but major sports events.
Had AFL and NRL been from the opposite cities, NRL>AFL in terms of crowds, $$$ etc.
Only parts of Western SYdney like the Dogs and the 3 queensland teams seem to turn out no matter what.
Last night's Storm vs Tigers match was great. It had hard hits, good running etc. If the AFL becomes more soft, I can see people turning towards NRL more. People prefer hard games in this country and not softer games.
I agree with you!!! I'm sure if i grew up in Melbourne i would be an AFL supporter (Thank the Lord i didn't!
). All jokes aside when and where can we find the ratings for last night (In Melbourne)?
