You'd think Brander already has a likely destination.
No current season stats available
If he is someone we think can play KPD, otherwize ..can he become a mid? Just how much is a lack of opportunity and how much a failure to meet the level.

You did very well last year, so I'm looking forward to what you come up with this year
Biggest need is speed from the midfield, key defender and a rebounding half back. Guys I like around our mark are Matthew Roberts, Zac Taylor, Campbell Chesser, Marcus Windhager, Sam Butler, Mitch Knevitt, Leek Alleer, Tom Brown and Oscar Morrison.
Good luck!

The missed finals dudeyo how do Richmond have pick 7. Did they pillage Gold Coast for a future pick like what we did or something?
Gotta admit, this is probably the strongest crop of possible DFA's that I've seen in a very long time.
Off the top of my head, these are all players worthy of consideration for a second shot, IMO:
Brander
Schlensog
Woodcock
Dumont
Hore
Naish
Garthwaite
Gleeson
Lienert
Eggmolesse-Smith
M. Ling
Gibbons
Sier
Cavarra
Lonie
Taheny (us)
Constable (us)
Rantall
...and these are just the players from clubs that have delisted players of note. Still plenty of clubs left/list finalizations to be completed.
Just goes to show how the list squeeze/caps, is/are pushing out players who formerly would have been near guarantees to stick around
He wants to go somewhere that will play him as the 3rd tall.If he is someone we think can play KPD, otherwize ..can he become a mid? Just how much is a lack of opportunity and how much a failure to meet the level.

Aaron vandenBerg, Brendon Ah Chee, David Zaharakis, Dom Tyson, Hamish Hartlett, James Cousins, Jarrod Cameron, Kaiden Brand, Levi Casboult, Mark Hutchings, Matt Buntine, Michael Hartley, Reece Conca, Tom Lynch.

We have enough areas of obvious need without looking to try to find a way to wangle him in.He's an interesting prospect as the Eagles have never played him as a 3rd tall forward.
At 195 and 92kgs he's a big unit and sees himself as a forward - maybe too big for a mid although he does have a tank as evidenced by playing wing in the limited games he's played in the 1's. He's been serviceable in that role.
Eagles mates rate him and see his career as being botched so far with them - Allen and Waterman seem to be ahead of him as 3rd tall forwards.
He's tempting but only as a tall forward IMHO.
I reckon it might depend who is available on the night.
Agree with that. I could see a live trade happening.
The problem is that we'll likely only have 4 list spots after Stengle so adding Brander and Schlensog means we can of draft 2 mids. I think mids is the problem we have so mids are what we need to spend 4 picks onI don't mind taking brander and schlensog as DFA's.
Means our youth looks more solid back and forward leaving the mids as the key area of focus!
Stewart and Cameron still 4 years in their prime. With...
O'Connor, Zuthrie, Stevens as small defenders.
Henry, SDK & Schlensog as talls.
Neale & Tsapa as ruck options.
Esava, Brander as talls.
Stengle, Evans, Close, Miers as smalls.
mids: just parfitt, stephens, holmes at the moment.
I think by adding Stenlge, Brander and Schlensog we get to prioritise finding our mids at the draft for the next two years before maybe looking at free agency or even a trade to bring in some more a-grade potential types.

Yes I just meant I expect to hold our current hand and to trade on the night of a good opportunity presents.Could see a live trade with someone else but won’t be for pick 23 from the dogs.
Pick will be chewed up.
Im actually starting to think we will use 4/5 picks on the night.
There are legit 4/5 players here who are much better than some on our listGotta admit, this is probably the strongest crop of possible DFA's that I've seen in a very long time.

Yeah I read the description of him on the AFL website and immediately thought he ticked a lot of boxes on the Wells checklist. So Rumours... Anyone have any??
Heard anything of an Andrew Mackie's Alumni might be on our radar with our last pick or most likely a Rookie list spot.
Captain, character and plenty of upside... A Sacred Heart of sorts?
