Despite never having control of this match at any time in any facet, it's hard to believe we are still only 15pts in arrears....

DGB can hold his head high.
The only time Weightman has gotten him is with that terrible free kick.

Dermott’s annoying because he talks too much. You don’t have to fill in every silence with words when we’re actually watching the game.
And he’s ridiculously repetitive.

And he loves saying crap like -

”You watch Smith at the centre bounce. He runs off his man to his left side because he knows that Brown and Green are going to double team his opponent. And that gives Smith space to run forward and make position into the gap so that Green when he gets possession can then chip the ball to Black who then can have a free run into goal”.

Some people love that sh*t but others just want to be told who just kicked the ball.

I remember years ago hearing Dermie on the radio referring to quote - a novel writer of the crime genre - unquote. He could have just said “crime writer”, but that didn‘t sound nearly so impressive.

This scoreline flatters us.

We are a very, very ordinary football team. Without McEvoy to take pressure-relieving marks down the line and across half back, and without Gunston to convert we look even worse.

We're supposed to be young and fit, but there's no run. We are multiple years off contending. Even if we can scrape into finals year after next.

We have two legitimate lock-down defenders in Hardwick and Blanck, and an interceptor in Sicily.

We have one legit forward in Lewis.

And currently one functioning midfielder in Newcombe.

And a bunch of unproven kids and maybes.

Not feeling this at all.
