Need a McCreery or Holman type to compliment. Someone bigger in size, doesn’t get a ton of the ball, hell they don’t even have to be a high level goal kicker. Just need to be a good ball user and be able to pressure

Thanks for clarification.
I'd rather we start moving away from this whole defensive forward mindset as I feel it's mostly fallacy anyway. I think defensive pressure acts have got to be close to one of the simplest skills in AFL to pick up, learn and implement at any stage of one's career, and are more a reflection of Coaching and player attitude then it is talent. I wouldn't have described Betts as a very defensive player at Carlton either.

I'd much rather we focus on better delivery, better leading patterns, better conversion when opportunity presents etc as a means to stop the ball rebounding from our Fwd half.

Whats the saying? Best form of defence is strong offense or something along those lines.
