This kid, its like he is a whole different player from 12 months ago. Has the fitness and confidence now in training. Could be anything.

Hoping it will be seen as one of our best trades using a 3rd to move up and grab him
To grab the explosive HH with our next pick might work out better than Reef and Macrae

I'm optimistic on all 4 of them, but you can't write Arlo off because of his first year given he wasn't fit enough, played in the wrong position and lacked confidence. But now, thats all changed. He was rated higher in his draft, and I think will be found to be a steal for us. Once he puts it all together, in a couple more pre-seasons. But but he and HH should debut this year.

It was too early to write him off last year, but even moreso too early to say he's going to be a star based on turning up to a few preseason sessions

I would suggest Jen and I are hoping he’ll be a star
But I would also like to show some optimism for our kids rather than pessimism over a trade up or a guy who’s had injuries / interruptions and relocated through 2022
Both Arlo + HH may not make it but I hope they kill it this year and pre season indicates they’re giving themselves a chance

Now he is fit, I reckon he is in for a big year. I've got high hopes for him.
Harvey Harrison reminds me of Tim Watson. quick, good evasive skills and an awkward but what seems an effective kick. Arlo didnt do much last year but showed glimpses of class. Both have something to work with which is all you can ask for a mid 40s pick. The rest is up to us and them to take next step. Be super happy if one of them comes off to be a 150-200 gamer.

It's great to see him take on tacklers as RobJD says- Cripps is the best exponent of this, he almost demands to be tackled so he draws a player and still gets the handball away (like Draper does in the second tackle in this clip)
Tim Watson was an absolute tank though. 185cm and 96kg. Doesn't have anywhere near his physical size and power.

You make a good point. We really should sign up arlo guthrie and george harrison for 10 years now......while they're cheap. We could save a furtune. Tie em down to a really really cheap figure like 200K each and people will think the club did a masterstroke in the coming years...Did you see those guys take a tackle in training. They'll be magic when the heat is on in a grand final...
