Pretty sure senior clubs are only allowed 1.Hurstbridge JFC & Yarrambat JFC
So clubs that had no juniors of their own get penalised for looking at the future & building a relationship with junior clubs. The Yarrambat situation of working with other senior clubs worked fine & they were comfortable with it. I was at a league meeting earlier this year when it was announced that a senior Div 1 club had 5 MOUs the AFL recognised but that was totally wrong where they had just the 2. The AFL were looking at temporary MOUs from 5 years ago to base their decision. All clubs senior/junior filled in MOU forms in December 2022 that would have recorded the official register of MOUs.Well thats why this new ruling was brought in so clubs can only have 1 MOU. Watsonia for example had Mill Park and Bundoora Juniors. They would have to get rid of one of them. It was mainly an issue in other comps.
Special consideration they call it.Pretty sure senior clubs are only allowed 1.
Where is the logic in any of this??That will be interesting as for the next 12 months you would think the difference in the Hursbridge & North 19s team will be significant with one challenging for a possie in T5 in D1 & the other may nominate for D2. North have picked up about 10-12 from Bats 17s from 2023 plus players from other clubs.
It probably could dissipate but not for another two seasons & come 2026 who know where this MOU business will be.
One thing the AFL have cocked it up with one club having 2 junior clubs & other senior clubs nothing & not through lack of effort, they just don't have the demographic & players they recruit for 19s - 3 points.
Where's the logic in that?

Kids can still play wherever they like.Where is the logic in any of this??
Why should junior players be restricted to where they play senior football?
It makes no sense.
If a kid who is on the fringe of playing Coates League level but not quite there yet goes to a different club than his aligned club, he is penalised a point. Which makes it harder for him to get a game?
If a kid has played at multiple junior clubs he will have more points?
Absolute stupidity, I fail to see how this keeps young people playing football.
I understand senior players who are jumping around to earn big dollars at rich clubs should be penalised points etc.
But these MoU’s for kids coming out of juniors ( not elite talent pathways) restricts where they can play. Which I think is insane.
Be less than 10 mins away in the same council with access to 2 ovals and active 19s, women’s, seniors and reserves.Did Yarrambat choose who they aligned with?
If so, what did Hurstbridge do better than clubs like North Heid and Panton Hill where Yarrambat juniors played this year?
10571z then what is the issue, if that’s who Yarrambat chose and it’s been signed offKids can still play wherever they like.

It’s not the issue who Yarrambat chose its before that, why did AFL Vic introduce a system that is clearly lopsided.10571z then what is the issue, if that’s who Yarrambat chose and it’s been signed off
Then why have an MoU at all???Kids can still play wherever they like.

They have had a great off season. Will win a D1 flag soon IMO. Not saying in the next 1 or 2 but are building nicely.ANOTHER great signing for Banyule with Darcy Bennett adding to the ruck/power forward stocks. Have has a seriously good off season so far and must be the big improvers in 2024 in Div 1. Well done to all the team at Beverly Road for getting it all together.
Chump.
Baddelly Kelly returning tooSeb Latina signed at Epping. Another best 18 player gone from Macleod.
He's left North?Baddelly Kelly returning too
Someone said months ago he and Hogan were leaving for a country club. He's left North?

If this true is hogan going along with him, if so all of sudden Epping are right in the mixSomeone said months ago he and Hogan were leaving for a country club.
So definitely looks like he has left, just not 100% yet on the destination.
Though it appears Epping now the frontrunner.

Is it confirmed jhye full time at the pingers? No Hogan not going with him, they were going to a country club together, Jhye has obviously changed his mind and chosen local.
Billy H to Mansfield & JBK to Boort playing with former player Ryan McGhie. That was the original destination. No Hogan not going with him, they were going to a country club together, Jhye has obviously changed his mind and chosen local.
Financial figures are in the hard copies given out the AGM
Just catching up with entries over the past month .Mr. Crane as an experienced contributor ,you should understand that you need to be careful with your comments . The detailed audited financial statements were distributed at the AGM and delegates invited to ask questions . They are audited by a respected local firm of chartered accountants. It is inappropriate to compare the current administration to the Floyd era .They have hidden that for years and got away with it. All other leagues post it, NFNL, defient of CAV requirements love hiding their wet lunches and kickbacks from Preston.
However unless clubs kickback and ask why the financials are not public (and in accordance with CAV requirements) they get away with doing and hiding what they want.
I dont trust them, never have since old mate Floydey did his thing.

Of wider concern to me is what I perceive to be the lack of visibility of the NFNL exec and board around and about clubland.Every stake holder (clubs) were given a hard copy. I dare say any interested volunteer could hit up their committee if they wanted a more in depth looks.
Those are legitimate questions which I’d be interested to know the answer to though.
Either way I’m not sure why they don’t post financials publicly.
