A very similar rhetoric was the norm on here early last year after Corr came in again from an injury interrupted pre-season. Once he got up to fitness I felt that he was quite good.

Also he doesn't have Logue or McKay any more so is working with a very small and green backline.

Lastly the midfield aren't doing him many favors with the speed and ease that the ball is entering our defensive half.

I get the concerns with him atm, however dropping him will leave a backline with minimal experience - won't happen imo.
I can’t see him getting dropped. Hoping he works his way into the season and that by the time Logue is back that one of Dawson or Pink have started to establish themselves in the team (probably Dawson at this stage).

Same could be said for Tucker, Corr, Stepho etc... why play any of those guys as they won't be part of the team when we're pushing top four? At least Greenwood has a crack.
Those guys are all contracted (and all younger than Hugh) and will be there past this year

Greenwood will be off the list at years end

Really don't understand the calls for Maley at the moment - he's very raw and we'd be better served letting him continue the development in the VFL - look at Larkey and his development in the VFL and he's spoken previously about how beneficial this was to getting him to where is at now. He's not the answer to any of our issues/injuries in my view. Would rather see him dominate for an extended period of time before getting a game.

This is so true. Some of the most successful clubs over the years, have used their Reserves sides to develop players over longer periods than supporters might like to see, however in the long run the players have developed to have better, long term careers. Two clubs who have done this very well are Hawthorn in the 1980's and Geelong in the first decade of this century.

We now have a Reserves side which has started the year on a winning note. I would venture to say that as much as anything else that might happen this year, is if that trend can continue and they figure late into the finals in that competition and dare I say it they win the flag, the longer term benefits might transfer on to a much more successful senior team in the years ahead.

Greenwood's an uninspiring selection but I get it. Another experienced body fur the youngest team in the league and provides a physical presence around the ball when chopping out X

Yes, uninspiring is fair, but on the other hand, I haven't seen anyone dispute the substance of clarkson's analysis that although the clearance numbers look okay, the 'quality differential' (if we call it that) between opposition clearances and ours is pronounced, and it's attributable to bigger stronger bodies. That being the case, other than keep chucking Wardlaw into the furnace, where do we find bigger stronger bodies to give the teenagers some protection? Leaving Phillips to one side (hardly 'bigger' anyway), it's either Zurhaar doing more mid minutes, or (as you say), Greenwood.

Thems the choices

++ Curtis. Watch the 2023 pre season games.

The eggplant version is the OG parmigiana with breaded meat or chicken in place of the eggplant only really popularised in places with strong Italian immigration like the US or here in Aus. The origins of the eggplant dish are often disputed with Parma, regions of Sicily and Naples all claiming to be the original creators of the dish. Parma vs Parmi therefore is not as simple and clearcut as originated in Parma call it a Parma, like with all languages time and geographical seperation will cause sundering from orginal definitions. 🐔🍅🧀🍟

Greenwood - CCJ
Ford - Lazz
Geez rewriting the origins of moussaka, you're about to declare war with the Greeks.

That is fact.

Krakoupedia has come through with the origin story (breaded eggplant) and it cannot be overemphasised that PARMA is correct for the reasons stated.

A Parmi is something else.

Mythology suggests it originated in Parma, Italy. Its a Parma. End of. Anyone that calls it a Parmi is a pompous douche
firmly on the side of parma. written language is meant to convey the way spoken language is pronounced, it shouldn't dictate pronunciation. no one's pronouncing parmigiana "parmee-giana."

And if I had a dollar for every post of yours where you pot a North player or the club, who do you think would have the most dollars?
You’d have almost as much as I’d have if I had one for every apologist post of yours.
