So why do harris lose to the worlds most dangerous moron?

I cant find good answers but heres a go:

She couldnt explain inflation: never attempted to explain why her term wouldnt have the repeat of the inflation boom of biden. She needed to explain that this was supply side driven due to covid and wouldnt happen again without a new covid. Not an easy sell although trump made it easier with his inflationary tariff and deportation policies but she never really made a good argument of it or much of an attempt at all.

Charisma: she didnt have much. This is why open primaries are important.

Wokism. Men have definately turned against democrats. Mostly white men but latino and black men as well. Calling male behaviour toxic, telling low income men they are privledged, pushing affirmative action policy again male employment and telling all men they are responsible for sexual assaults is not a good campaign strategy. Progressives preached inclusiveness while making men feel excluded.

Immigration: shouldnt of unwound all of trumps border policies and should of reacted to the problem of illegal immigration more quickly. They should of expanded legal migration significantly but been absolutely tough on illegal immigration.

Education: americans clearly arent educated enough to understand the importance of democracy, supporting global allies nor how the economy works. Cant be fixed in the short run.

Gaza: not sure they could of done anything differently here. But it lost them the irrational part of the base who didnt know or care that trump was forcing democrats into their position with a looming election and will be way worse for Gaza.

I think many of these problems are also problems in australia. Albanese is in deep trouble.
Don't agree with the bottom 2, but the first 4 items were quite well articulated. Especially the section on wokeism.

I would also suggest the focus on minority politics over their traditional working class base has become a huge issue for them, similar to as it will be an issue in Australia.

As you said at the end, this is a nightmare for Albo, and he essentially stands no chance in Australia.

No, answer the question.

Say, on the edge of a whim, Trump decided to remove term limits. He has control of both houses. He has control of the supreme court. He has reshaped his party in his image.

Say, he takes it into his head that he should be president for life. Makes sense; he idolises Putin and Xi and wants what Kim Jong Un has. What's stopping him from doing it?
I did answer the question. The whole “it’s a nonsense” answer. He has controlled both houses before. It’s just fear mongering and a bullshit theory based on fantasy.

Rolling out Bill to shame Muslims and Barack to shame black men, while simultaneously fawning over the Cheneys and chasing Haley voters.

Just outstanding strategy for a Democrat.

Obama was going to be another of my memories, purely because of that intervention.

I thought it was strange at the time. It just didn't seem effective, and more likely it was going to be counterproductive.

Mmm, the delicious prospect for Dem voters of having Republican representation in the Harris government.

Nah, it was a key moment for lots of folk who were reinvigorated by it. That left media barely touched it, and quickly downplayed and forgot about it, was a form of denial.
Disagree. Republican fanbase was already invigorated.

The issue was Harris didnt invigorate her fanbase + fumbled a few bags. Main problems were

  • College voters didnt turn out for her as much as expected
  • She successfully managed to piss off both the Jewish and Islamic voters with her fence sitting stance on the Israel/Palestine conflict
  • She involved Joe Biden which lowered the mood

Top 2 are the main ones. The youth vote let her down

hillary still hasn't conceded. She called Trump an illegitimate president years later. The democrats spend 4 years saying it was Russia's doing.
Except she didn't spend months trying to overturn the results with failed court cases as well as being largely responsible for a riot. America basically didn't even have a functioning government in the last two months of Trump's presidency due to how fixated he was on a lost cause.

Fear mongering I'll cop, but fantasy?

It's both a) well within his power, as stated, and b) there are a number of examples of leaders overturning term limits (before Putin came to power, there were term limits in Russia; same with Xi) when given the power to do so.

This reeks of "I don't want to acknowledge you have a point, so I'm going to try and put you in a box so I can ignore you" to me.

I'd argue that education attempts to. However, the issue is that education to many becomes secondary to the need to make as much money as possible.
If you look at the rates of those who actually begin secondary education and see where that same cohort finishes at the conclusion of the 6 years, some would be quite surprised.

And I'm using the Australian system as the example.

I think that's partially true and the financial imperative is a problem.
But also we are teaching people to complete courses without teaching them how to analyse and think and in particular how to spot deliberate misinformation in the media and from PR companies and politicians, so people don't ignore it when they should.

He's not going to do this. The Presidency is a burden to him. He's not going to extend that. Any idea otherwise is just crazy.
