It is what it is. The day people across the board start treating us as a charity/sympathy case, is the day we may as well fold the club up imo.
Yeah not what you want to be. You could imagine after the 1999 prelim final and grand final, and Essendon's loss to Brisbane that these two powerhouses would go 25 and 30 years respectively without a flag, with no hope in side.

Meanwhile the Pies contend in 6 grand finals winning 2. Even Hawthorn with their premierships may match and exceed those 2 clubs 16 flags, despite entering 30 years later and being a cellar dweller for many decades. Not to rub it in but I guess dynasties rise and fall.

Im a bit worried about my own club. This patch will hurt our overall win/loss record, and Derby record. Not that I care that much but its a little annoying.

Remember the last couple of years when you kept complaining that Hawthorn supporters were saying that we were winning the clearances, that we were top two in clearances, and that's the reason why thought midfield had improved, while you thought Sam Mitchell was an idiot for getting rid of O'Meara and Mitchell.

Now you're talking about pressure acts.
Literally have no idea what you're referring to

Is there a point where Pies fans just feel sorry for Blues fans and ease off a little? Maybe after another 30 year drought?

Never particularly liked Carlton but I just pity them and their supporters. They're almost in St Kilda territory. Part of me wants them to have success due to that but I can never really hope a big Vic club has more success.
It went from hatred to pity around 2022

Do you feel sorry for Freo
At times. I feel ambiguous about them. Like part of me actually does want them to taste some success, but other times I feel like a sadistic nuff and I enjoy it wjen they lose. Partly due to some posters here. But ultimately the many loyal Freo supporters deserve something. I grew up close to Fremantle and prefer it to the Perth CBD, so sometimes I think had I been born say 5 years later I'd probably have gone for the purples. Was too loyal to the blue and gold to switch when they came in.

We're going through a barren period the worst in our history actually, but we'll rise again at some point and so will Essendon.

For two clubs that have been crap for two decades, both the Blues and Bombers still put the bums on the seats.

Although that is part of the problem i think. The powers that be at both clubs take the fans loyalty for granted at times i think.

Yes that's true. And at least in our league every team gets their day eventually. I dont get why people follow those European football leagues where a few teams dominate and win most everything. I think we are right to be cynical about how corporate it's become. Sure success is nice, but the WCFC won't be alarmed until you see a lot of empty seats at Optus.

Seriously, there were 12 votes for Carlton last night/this morning. It’s now at 13. Name and shame!
I just voted for Carlton on the poll there. I'm staying aboard the sinking ship right until the very end!
