Can they? Yes
Will they? Probably not.

I think if they can get another A grade mid they will be in the window, a bit too much reliance on Dawson atm. Most of the other realistic contenders seem to have a bit more midfield class. But you never know, with a bit of momentum and if they can get home finals you never know...

Knowing the Dockers probably the pick that got you Andrew McLeod.

The McLeod trade

[edit]
Fremantle had flown the 18-year-old McLeod and his father to Perth for an interview, but none of the coaching or recruiting staff had actually seen him play, despite McLeod having played in a premiership for Port Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) a few weeks earlier.

McLeod was puzzled and insulted when Fremantle coach Gerard Neesham asked him to stand up to see how tall he was. The result of this short meeting was that he was traded to Adelaide in return for promising centre half-forward Chris Groom, who they also hadn't see play. McLeod went on to play over 300 games, whilst Groom played only seven for Fremantle before being delisted at the end of the 1995 season.[10]

Fremantle made similar trades with Melbourne to obtain Phil Gilbert and North Melbourne to obtain Troy Polak, trading away Jeff Farmer and Glenn Freeborn respectively.

Lol. Think they may have gave away Scott Lucas's too. Traded away Peter Bell then got him back.

Disaster that club.

Too inexperienced in finals to win this year, along with a poor match day coach.

Hoping we win at least 1 final.

Pies more likely to win the flag beating the Lions in a battle of the last 2 winners.

Could get top 2 two home finals then play a blinder on grand final day.
Could win two at home but unlikely to win the GF at the MCG. Need to beat not only the opposition but deal with a pro Victorian crowd and pro Victorian umpires. Too many players who are inexperienced in big games, all the main oppositin teams are loaded with big game stars.
