The way we fought back in the 2nd quarter also very good.

Probably the main positives were Rankine and Fog had big games.

Finally, hopefully Rachele is a-ok. Our depth is already exhausted so it's an injury to the worst person it could happen to.

Man those umpires tried hard that last quarter

Umpire singular for most of the game who paid around half of the free kicks & tried hard to influence the game.

There are 3 umpires in the AFL who are about as honest as Pannel... & we usually get at least 1 every game.

Good game going into a run of some tougher ones, good to get ready for WB next week.

We'll have a few sore players and they will too but these guys don't mind putting a knee in the back.

Good that Goody and Bass gave it their best tactically but we were able to get back over it. Left it a bit too long to start making adjustments if you ask me but at least we can adjust and get on top. Kinda played into their hands by trying to do our usual win the contest around the ball up contests thing but they were too good at it, so we had to adapt.

Couple of great efforts from Curtin helped out.

Rankine you knew he'd have some good form somewhere and bob up and today he did when we needed it.

We did some howlers of mistakes in this game. The cross back in coming out of the backline that gets an easy intercept and is undefendable. Up the other end our forward entries and system was maddening and had me swearing at the TV.

Berry wasn't as much a standout as he has been, but still did enough to contribute. Taylor was a bit quiet too. Then there was Murphy, seemed like he was out to kill himself so Nicks wouldnt pick him again. Otherwise pretty even team effort, Dawson and Peatling very handy though.

The help for them from the umpires. That deliberate call on Worrell encapsulates it. Then there was one similar one from them and one even worse one and its all play on. There were two times their players ran about 50m and weren't called too far. That last 50m penalty they got for an in the contest late spoil whereas the way late spoil on Taylor by Salem was no problem. Tex gave away some frees but when they did the same to him, he got the free called against him, couldn't win. Friggin joke.

Hope the Rachele injury is on the lighter side.

The continuing selection of Murphy - just stop. We're not a serious finals side if we're giving players like him games
