It seemed to me that when MacIntosh was moved out of the centre (and Ross was brought in), Daicos moved to half back then half forward. Seemed like a deliberate tactic to avoid the tag

Simms will grow into that big, tall forward. I don't see him as a forward ruck. Faul and Armstrong are more the mobile tall forward type. Right now, I am expecting Lynch to retire this year. I think that's why we re-signed Fawcett and have Falau as backups until Simms develops.

If you cant convert you cant play Forwards as a tall. its a waste of space and a man.

Driving back from Melbourne today so had to watch the game on replay. Observations of the game:

• Absent the scoreline we played well. It was only experience and a lack of playing together over a number of years that was the difference.
• Naicos whilst a very good player will never overtake Dusty no matter what those toothless supporters think.
• If Vlas does not get an AA guernsey this year the AFL can go EAD.
• Commentators sounded like they wanted to fellate the scum. Have not heard such biased commentary.

And the last observation:

I am shocked I tell ya, absolutely stone cold motherless shocked and speechless. I could not believe my eyes that the umpires did not bend us over and go in dry. It was a fairly umpired match. Hopefully this becomes the norm!
