I'm more concerned with the fact he's not that good anymore.Still not sure about it with both his mental health and substance abuse issues.

It's a shame Edwards didn't get a couple of games under his belt earlier in the year when the opportunity arose.
2007God I hope we smash them tomorrow night... So many times we have been their bitch.... 2008, 2012, 2015.... etc etc...
Crush them and march on.
I will give you that he was sometimes next to Amon, but as for playing on him? Nah. He floated around ball watching most of the time. If he was actually tasked with standing Amon he got torched.
As I mentioned I was being facetious suggesting he was on Impey because what Murphy actually does is he runs off his opponent doing nothing, which leaves players free. Could the player he was on or supposed to be on be Impey? Sometimes he's so far away from his man it's hard to tell who he's supposed to be on.
As for who was actually tasked with being near Impey, at least in the first half, it was Ben Keays, not Josh Rachele as you claimed
This is what I mean by Murphy not actually playing a defensive role. All of these are in the first quarter and a bit (highlighted Murphy and Amon). Just lets Amon get away from him (if he's playing on him, which is questionable) time after time. I got bored eventually, it just happened that often
I'm glad there is some form of rotational planning. Tick
But this week?
Unless there are 3-4 next week against Eagles I'm not sure I understand
Why are we resting laird this week? Must be stuffed.
Hesitant to make 2 changes in the one area in the one week.
The boy's no good.I'd have liked to keep Pedlar in, but I understand it as his output just isn't high enough right now.
How many times do I have to post this.
Nov 8th, 2021 ... ?
I don't hate it. Laird out hurts us.
Jones with Laird out
Resting Laird? Hmmmmmmmmmm
Pedlar knew it was coming. You could see it in his sheepish reaction after getting the downfield free kick for a goal last week. Knew he hadn't done enough
Would love to see Edwards at some stage but these are very good selections.
Nank for Jones would top it off nicely.
Shame Pedlar just isn't any good. There's a vacancy for a quality small forward...unfortunately he's not it.
We are only managing 1 player who is sore.Good gord. Horks fielding their (arguably) strongest team for the season and we're resting players. Hope it pays off.
In Nicks We Trust.
More concerned about wasting another game on Smith. Just stupidity. Hopefully for him Hawks kick inaccurately so he can rack up the rebound 50s.
Just terrible selection philosophy, but it’s in our blood.
Just think we should stick with him for another 20 games without any discussion on performance. Short sighted selection. How’s he going to get to Murphy level if we don’t carry him for 70 more games?
Smith is a very good selection? He’s finished, gets 1/3 of his touches from kick outs and can’t influence defensively at all. We’ve got Nank who showed really good form last year in that role and for some reason, we’ve moved him to the wing/fwd depth chart. It’s insanity.
The boy's no good.
Needs a big pre-season!If we can afford to give Murphy 120 games, then Pedlar should be given some more time. If he doesn't come on next year he will probably get delisted, however the kid can play - his body has let him down.
Yup, for whatever reason, just didn't manage to overtake Smith this year.
Still, a big preseason can rectify that rather quickly on Charlie's part. Especially as Smith will be gone next year.
