Good to see you back, Vindicater, how you going with this answer? I hope you can do better than the last two contestants.
Nope. Nice try though!Over the season you have a large positive free kick count.
Last night you lose the free kick count by 1.
However you kicked more than half your goals from free kicks.
You have well and truly been looked after for the year.
And yet a bunch of your fans are in here bleating about being hard done by.

Couldn't understand how we were pre-season favourites...was absolute madness. From premiership favourites to missing the finals after adding 2 million dollar per season defenders ??
Rebuilds are hard work …

Were YOU watching something else? Rankine did not go forward of the mark. Rankine did not move left or right of the mark. Rankine's only movement was back away from the goals, on the line. Rankine did motion to handball, but he didn't handball. That's not play on.
By the actual rules, Rankine did not play on. Period. The umpire did not call play on. Correctly, by the rules.
Sicily went over the mark. 50 metre penalty, every time. Every day of the week. By the rules.
Melbourne crowd tonight appealing for deliberate off a spoil from a marking contest.Guess you've never been to a match in Melbourne. People don't yell "BALL!" the moment a player is tackled without prior. They don't start yelling for 50 when there was neither anything done to merit it, nor the umpires' body language indicating they're going to pay it. And, most importantly, they don't jeer apparently injured players going off. The attacks on Will Day last night were a disgusting example of why nobody likes your ugly football culture.
Just because you say he played on, doesn't mean he did. Learn the rules yourself or get your eyes checked. You don't know the rules , Rankine did not mark the ball it was touched and all the players knew it except for your little boyfriend the umpire that you want to defend because it is your team. I couldn't give a **** what team it is, it was shit. If it was Carlton I would say it was a disgrace.
And yes he did go to play on because he knew it wasn't a mark. Then Rankine was gifted a goal on the goal line because of umpiring incompetence on a ball that was touched that all the players knew so they all went in motion.
It's incredible how people defend horrible umpiring decisions because it's their team. I'm not against the crows I'm talking incompetent umpiring that happened 'right in front of me.'
Next you will be saying the Mac Andrews gifted a free goal before ball going back to centre was great umpiring , so 2 goals for absoluletly jack shit was good because it was the crows?? That's how you like to watch football? shit 50m penalties and umpiring mistakes are ok?
Not about what team it is just shit umpiring.

The difference was the number of goals Hawthorn cost themselves by being too cute. Players in position to have a clear shot and played pass the parcel. Tex, Fogarty and Rankine for all their faults when it was their turn to take a shot did. They didn't always get them but at least they gave themselves a chance to.Hawthorn played well and the difference was the home ground advantage.
Day is so important for their team and is their best player without a doubt. He is such a gun.
What a career he would have had without the injuries.
That decision was one of those the umpire is correct decisions that was an absolute joke. Umpire cared more about his ego and being made to look a fool so doubles down and compounds a mistake. The exact opposite to what happened with Stringer the night before which was an example of classy umpiring. Both decisions correct by the letter of the law but one umpire putting his hand up and saying I made a mistake and the other being an arrogant tool. The exact thing that's wrong with umpiring in the AFL. Umpires that are more worried about their ego and feelings being hurt. Contrast that to the free that was paid against Houston tonight by the non controlling umpire. Umpire that was in control of the situation knew it was the wrong call, let Houston express his frustration and got on with it.Just because you say he played on, doesn't mean he did. Learn the rules yourself or get your eyes checked.
I don’t have a problem with Ginnivan 90% of the time.
You’re in a media driven industry, and you have built your brand on being controversial and antagonistic. You can’t then complain when the attention then comes. Calling someone who’s doing their job “embarrassing” feels disrespectful to me.

Lol, well if you say so. I guess it's an improvement of the antisocial Hawks under Clarkson's tenure. He deals well with scrutiny...
Just tried to think of some good current small forwards. Got other recommendations? I mean Watson has had 90 shots and 22 assists in his first 36 games. He does lots of little things to impact outside scoring too. Do you think he's a bust?

Lol, so when he flipped a bird at the crowd, responded on instangram with 'money well spent' after being fined and responed like an immature teenage girl to question from a journo, you say 'He deals well with scrutiny'.When Kern antagonised him, he laughed it off. I think people confuse inviting scrutiny with being unable to handle it.
That can be due to the crowd pressure to be fair. The biggest thing about a home ground advantage, other than the SCG, is the crowd. The difference was the number of goals Hawthorn cost themselves by being too cute. Players in position to have a clear shot and played pass the parcel. Tex, Fogarty and Rankine for all their faults when it was their turn to take a shot did. I see a game of 3rds was called off yesterday in the civil society of Melbourne after 100 players, spectators and officials became involved in a brawl that saw an umpires life threatened.Dude your entire support base deserves a punch in the face. It's like a parallel universe coming to Adelaide, to see how deluded and feral your supporters are here. Nothing like the civil behaviour we have in Melbourne.

He laughed at her and said do you seriously think he’s going to speak to her after the way she approached him. Fair play.Lol, so when he flipped a bird at the crowd, responded on instangram with 'money well spent' after being fined and responed like an immature teenage girl to question from a journo, you say 'He deals well with scrutiny'.
I get your perspetive, I mean at least he didn't flip another bird to the journo or use any overtly perjorative language.![]()
He deals well with scrutiny... but Current Affair style ambushes are quite another thing. If Channel 7 in Adelaide doesn't want to pay for competent reporters, players have no obligation to contribute to the Hicksville circus.
What they wanted? He's created a rod for his own back, because it's not like he can just blank those ambushes without coming off as a complete sook who seeks attention, but only when it's going his way.
He gave them exactly what they wanted, so he might want to come up with a different approach. Because of course, they'll keep doing it now and he won't be able to help himself.
