You know whats sad, our VFL side has gained most of their wins off the back of our non AFL listed players. That is a giant red flag
They also seem to play a different game style to the AFL side.

Quick, play on very often, and go through the middle. Compare that to the AFL side that seem to go longggg down the line more often than not.

Why is it a red flag? The difference between the 2 leagues in crazy. Kosi was classes above yesterday and we know he cant play in the AFL. When Sonsie was playing VFL he was good for 12 a quarter. We just dont have AFL listed players available.

Hopefully Norf beat Frankston today, they have started well. Would mean any win next week guarantees a finals spot and we avoid the wildcard. Frankston play Bris next week, we would jump the loser if we win.

As different as the 2 leagues are, you at least want the AFL listed boys dominating, not the guys from the district leagues.

You do realize thats my whole point dont you? we've got district league players winning us games, getting us to the finals. Its not too hard to understand.
If that were the case I wouldn't see it as a red flag at all, but it's not the case.

Jacob koschitzke
Jacob Blight
Tyler sonsie
Kaleb smith
James Trezise
Jacob Bauer
Tom McCarthy (AFL listed now)
Campbell Gray
Maurice rioli
Liam Fawcett
Samson Ryan

All of those blokes have spent extended time in the 2s this year, beit in and out of the AFL side of primarily in the 2s. There's been seriously sharp improvement from Ollie hayes brown too.

Batchelor clearly runs a fairly tight ship and the "district league players" as you've called them are clearly at benefit, but the players playing in the The most important positions are our AFL listed players.

That’s because you can get away with that style of play in the vfl and more often than not the opponents are not guarding the corridor like they do at AFL level with the higher caliber of players and well drilled structures

If we beat Willi next weekend and Frankston (currently 4th) knock off the Lions (5th) we'll finish 6th and avoid wildcard weekend. By then we should have OHB, Fawcett, Lefau and maybe Gray and McAuliffe back from injury plus all the blokes playing seniors that qualify. MRJ, Balta, Sonsie, Young and Trezise at least.

Must win. We could give a VFL flag a nudge.

So the red flag is in reference to our medical staff? Or are you referencing district players vs our VFL players. District players get better money than VFL players, so it stands to reason there are plenty of good players in those sides.
