Serious question for you - would you be treating Russia's concern as similarly legitimate if, instead of their stated rationale being NATO, it was instead that they were worried about the incredible hulk emerging from a Ukraine biolab and laying waste to mother Russia?

Coz that's roughly as likely as a NATO offensive land invasion of Russia.

Who was dictating anything to Russia? They can do whatever they like, just do it within their own borders, just as Ukraine wanted to do re: NATO. Not a difficult concept one would think.
