There were more than 30,000 ahead of me in the queue during the members sale, took about 45 minutes to get through, but I got my Hill ticket as I wanted. My non-member friend wasn't confident and received an 'allocation exhausted' message, but when he go through to the categories there was still availability, so he was successful.

Is there even a way to do a tiered ticket allocation? It's would rely on ticketek (lol) having the capacity to exclude barcodes etc during certain times. From what I've seen, it's been a generic Member's pre-sale, then general public pre-sale for all games. No tiered release.

Yes. The barcodes that are sent to members are uploaded into the ticketing platform. Can run as many as they have time for.

So any good news to come from the SANFL defeat that can be good for selection. For example Murphy suspended for multiple matches?
Butts, Cook, Dowling & Edwards as the extended squad. Burgess & Schoenberg further back. With the rest set for 2026 or off to the knackery.

With it all on the line for these lads to put up a sh1t effort like they did v Norwood should just about rule a line through the lot of them for the final campaign unless injuries strike. It was hugely disappointing seeing that second half effort.

Considering they are playing for selection in an AFL final it is a shocking result

I think theres an argument to be made that season ticket holders or even 3 game ticket holders have first right to finals tickets, ahead of the 'memberships' being sold on the eve of finals.

But I dont support the idea of gold members or those that have spent the most money on their tickets getting priority. I hate the idea that ticket prices will increase, and ontop of that you need to pour a heap of money throughout the year to get a finals tickets.

Its a game for all people not for those with more money than others

If you were playing meaningful time in the second half your season was almost certainly done. We see this every time AFL selection is off the table

I think they also don't want people to buy 11 game memberships and then not throughout the year. People who play footy themselves would only be able to get to 5-6 games a year.

Gold membership ONLY gives you guaranteed access to purchase GF tickets. That’s it.

Are they new memberships or are the club just reminding people that the allocation hasn’t been exhausted?
