No Rankine hurts Adelaide just as much as no Gulden hurt Sydney this year. It's not just the quality of player they are that makes them so important It's the mismatches they create and their ability to exploit the opposition's little lapses. No Rankine means Dawson gets more attention so his impact gets lessened which then flows down the line as it forces Adelaide's less talented kicks to kick more. From minor premier to out of the final in straight sets.
They have form mishandling sensitive matters. How Adelaide FC handled the Rankin Suspension will be studied and taught in other clubs to how NOT to handle a situation like that.
Crows supporters deserved this

Spoken as a supporter with authority on the straight sets experience.Crows will be better for it. Make some tough calls. They’ve got a very strong young list. They’ll be in the mix again. These things happen.
Not many Crows fans on 5aa, I guess the loss doesn't hurt bad enough. This Port caller may have a sub 50 IQ. struggling to get his sentence out.
You think?I think Adelaide win comfortably.
No tough calls while MR is involvedCrows will be better for it. Make some tough calls. They’ve got a very strong young list. They’ll be in the mix again. These things happen.
I think? I think it’s time for our clubs to set their differences asideYou think?

Keep telling yourself that! Hawks will bring it next week
No they won't. The only tip I can give their list management is dont trade your first rounders. I have feeling they will get very high picks come next year.Congrats to the Crows for their season, they'll be better for the loss.
Of course you'd say that.Honestly think it says more about Adelaide.
Freo have underachieved with a decent list.Crows will be better for it. Make some tough calls. They’ve got a very strong young list. They’ll be in the mix again. These things happen.

Rioli. They have form mishandling sensitive matters.
Hardly. Outside of their six goal burst the Giants were smashed.GWS vs Hawthorn was a classic.
We had our best midfielder out too, it's a cop out to use that as an excuse. The reason our midfield is average is because we can't get Day fit and Newcombe has almost been going at it solo every week. He's had mates finally step up the last few weeks (Ward and Worpel) and we look much better for it. No reason Berry or Soligo couldn't do the same to support Dawson. No Rankine hurts Adelaide just as much as no Gulden hurt Sydney this year. It means that the effect of the 3 tall's gets lessened because opposition defenders are more willing to assist against the 3 tall's as they are less worried of someone with Rankine's elite speed and kicking skills exposing the free Adelaide player them leaving creates. The lesser talented Adelaide midfield are also more likely to go the obvious option of the tall forward.
Rankine, Betts, Walker, Tippet, McLeod, etc...Rioli.
