Can Geelong cover for Tom Stewart missing ?

I would assume Stanley comes into the ruck and Blicavs moves back?

Lions win and it's back to back from straight 3 GFs. Then they get to add Oscar Allen, Sam Draper, Jordan Ridley & a top 5 mid from the draft.

OR

Cats win their 2nd in 4 years before bringing in some combination of Rowan Marshall, Charlie Curnow, Clayton Oliver and James Worpel.

Go... Cats... I guess?

Brisbane have class all over the field .
AhChee, Raynor, Lohman, Charlie Cameron, Harris Andrews, Levi Ashcroft, Will Ashcoft, Dunkley, Bailey and Wilmot.

Brisbane has the class factor and better depth
Are Geelong appealing Stewart's week off protocol?

Ah there's the troll I know and love. You were almost making sense for a moment there.

Depth, you say? I can suggest that like-for-like Geelong are only find a sub spot for one of:
  • Fort
  • what's left of Big O
  • Starcevic AND Lester (Henry and Z Guthrie clearly better)
  • Gallop (whatever promise he has isn't enough to play a 7th gamer as CHF)
  • Reville

This ain't the 2023/24 team. The underbelly is soft.

Gallop could do a Tom Boyd this game.

Who is coming into the side to replace Stewart?

The only teams that could’ve challenged the Cats were the Lions and the Giants.

So for the sake of a good game I’m glad one of them made it.

Even so, I reckon the Cats by 4-5 goals.

Other than that, me (and probably every other neutral) would love to see the first ever extra time Grand Final. Can’t see it happening in this one though.
Cam Rayner kicking a goal after the siren to win it would be a suitably dramatic end to the game.

It will be hard fought for most of the way but in the end Geelong pull away to win by 48.

I assume Bailey Smith will become the second Smith to win a NS medal.

Well there's no need to play O'Connor forward as a tag this week (on Weddle), so he'll slot back into defence and see how many frees Rayner wants to play for.

Stanley comes in, it seems, especially. Kinda makes sense if Brisbane are going to run two rucks, but I'm not super enthused by the selection.

You're baffling, AP. It's like you are the exception to your own rule; 9 trolls, then 1 valid question which kinda reflects what you're saying on other boards (and I'm not allowed to quote), then back to trolling again. How do you keep track?

I'm serious on the serious boards. I hope Dangerfield wins the Norm Smith regardless of who wins.

Find a hobby. Or go to the Bay. You are clogging decent threads with trolling garbage. It’s borderline pathological.

Nah, he's fun. Plus he really thinks that we've got them covered comfortably.

He's quite a decent Richmond supporter. If you ask him 10 ten times, he'll eventually admit the Stand Rule conspiracy is BS. Just gotta persist.

Pretty proud of this team for making the Grand Final despite players in the 28-32 range on our list playing big minutes with Payne, Hipwood, Answerth and Neale missing most of the last two months (could even throw in Coleman, Doedee and McCarthy into that mix).

There's been a fair amount of magnet shuffling as the year has gone on, despite the tough draw.

Whatever happens, we're a huge chance of coming back next year stronger with not just the potential FA additions, but also the guys coming back from injury.
