Experienced coach and football administrator Andy Collins to join Port Adelaide in newly-created senior football role.

Port Adelaide has appointed experienced coach and football administrator Andy Collins as the club’s Director of Coaching.

Collins boasts an impressive playing, coaching and administrative resume, arriving at Alberton following four seasons as Head of Development at Hawthorn.

The newly created role will see Collins lead coach development and learning, ensuring coaches are aligned in their approach, while also supporting player education.

1987-96 Hawthorn 212 games 3 premierships 1988-89-91

Coaching

1997-99 Sandringham VFL - Head coach won 1997 premiership
2000-03 St Kilda - Assistant coach
2004-05 Hawthorn - Assistant coach and coached affiliate team Box Hill in VFL, worked with Clarko
2006-07 Coburg VFL - Head coach lost GF in 2007
2008-13 West Adelaide SANFL - Head coach, lost 2012 GF, won 2013 Foxtel Cup over East Freo
2014-20 Williamstown VFL - Head coach won 2015 premiership lost 2019 GF
2021.... Box Hill VFL- Assistant coach to Sam Mitchell
2022-2024 Hawthorn - Head of Development under Sam Mitchell
