Florent came 6th and 7th respectively, JR 3rd and 6thNot sure if this has already been posted, was listening to the Saturday rub yesterday, Brian Taylor saying something interesting about his nephew. Rowy to the Suns.
It's unlike BT to get players mixed up.Florent came 6th and 7th respectively, JR 3rd and 6th
Spot on.It’s not exclusively about what they do in a GF though. Big star forwards like
Curnow get your teams into the top four and deep into finals. That’s where you win a flag from.
I agree of course the game is prioritising having a band of small forwards and high forwards to form a dangerous forward line but there’s absolutely still need for tall forwards who can win contests in the forward line. Curnow is that.

People who actually watch the game properly coming to fore in this thread at last.Heeney, Warner, and Gulden doing most of the heavy lifting.
What I really want to know today is who is the ‘insane get’ Bonz speaks about ?
According to who Punts ?Apparently will nominate the cats tomorrow
I’m fairly hung over but this has gone way over my head, I’m super confused. It's unlike BT to get players mixed up.
Being very poorly advised if that is the case. They want Marshall as their top priority as was witnessed by that trouncing Stanley / Blicavs received yesterday. They have no collateral as you say and any they do have is going into Marshall.Regardless of where Curnow wants to end up, he'd be an idiot to publicly nominate the Cats. They have the least collateral of the teams apparently in the hunt and a "Cats or bust" request sacrifices any leverage he might have.
Unlike in those days, there are a lot of other clubs after those types now as well. Why do we need an "insane get" anyway? Surely there are some guns in teams such as Lions, Cats, Hawks or who can't break through that can make a big difference to our current line up. That's what set us up for 2012, with players such as Kennedy, McGlynn and Mumford who couldn't break into Hawks & Geelong respectively.

It's pretty hard to pick up a no. 1 draft pick when you continually play finals. Brisbane bottomed out and picked up Rayner, McCluggage, etc as well as a couple of Ashcrofts and Fletcher through the FS.Just going through the Brisbane list and they have a lot of there players being picked in top 25 so the question comes back to you need at least 10 elite talent on your list and our poor recruitment over the last 10 yrs hasn’t allowed for us to be in that position and have more trophies which is the ultimate goal . So anyone who thinks that wasting top picks on a forward probably need to go look at history.
In fact, the only past player to take the program seriously produced a three-time premiership player - with two of those premierships coming against us!It's pretty hard to pick up a no. 1 draft pick when you continually play finals. I wouldn't blame our recruiters as such, but rather our past players for their woefully inept breeding program.

true 3aw yesterday mentioned it and said he was waiting for there season to endAccording to who Punts ?
Yeah it was mentioned. Makes no sense for the Suns or us really. Not sure if this has already been posted, was listening to the Saturday rub yesterday, Brian Taylor saying something interesting about his nephew. Rowy to the Suns.
The key thing is that the panel made the Rowbottom comment/connection, not BT.Not sure if this has already been posted, was listening to the Saturday rub yesterday, Brian Taylor saying something interesting about his nephew. Rowy to the Suns.
