i can’t imagine it’s any one person. It sounds like Davies had a relationship with Collins that would have helped but he’s not coming over if he doesn’t have good interactions with Carr. Webster clearly had a relationship with Carr - perhaps all Davies needs to do in this one is contract negotiation.

i would have thought Carr and others including Davies would have white-boarded a heap of names.

at a guess Richos involvement in identifying candidates would be zero but maybe ap involvement in ticking off contracts.

Highly likely it's Carr. Richo said it himself. It's Carr's team to build and he has free reign.

Last handful of years the club were practically replacing one long serving bloke every two seasons with another long serving bloke from within its own walls as if we were winning flag after flag.

Does anyone know more about his background, hard to find much information about him before Glenelg.

Played 2nd 11 cricket for NSW, always in elite pathway systems. Unfortunate to be the next best with Haddin coming through.

Coached Salisbury, Nuri, Centrals Juniors, NT Thunder, North Adelaide, then to the Bays.

Excellent in settings standards, understanding his deficiencies and surrounding himself with the right people.
