Can someone post the actual quote from this?
Listen from about 5:30 for a minute or so. Kym said something like the story coming from the club is Josh is "old Port Adelaide". Darren agrees and says Josh is really strong on all the staff living the culture etc etc.

Regardless of how Josh goes next year, he gets us, and for that he's already surpassed anything Hinkley achieved.

How many tremendous humans has he pumped out though?

Speaks well, Im sold.

Mentioned he comes from a different background to the other coaches at the club and it will be good to bounce different ideas of each other.

Also stated that he watched Port train closely during the pre-seasons and has ideas of what he wants to implement in the midfield.

Sheesh he's a sharp smart dude, no umm's aah's or yeah as an opener to every question. Impressive

Listened to the interview and watched the presser. Guy is really impressive and spoke really highly of Carr. Most positive I have felt about the club in years. Baby steps, but there may be a real cultural shift next year. Great to hear that Ramm is already doing weights and running already.

Any lollie teeth?

Yeah up there with flinging tea over your shoulder all those years ago which was a massive red flag to me even then.

Pity the club/Koch didn't see it and the high farce we descended into this year. Glad all that shite seems to be behind us

Ramm is going to be a brute

He doesn't have to be huge - wiry and bloody strong, Harris Andrews style, will do.

Harris Andrews was 92kgs when drafted in 2014 and last weights allowed in 2023, he was 100kgs.

There's been too much suffering for any hilarious memories. It will just be a recurring bad dream for me. I will never forget how I felt with that clown as our head coach.
Agreed rj, Josh Carr and the team of assistants he is gathering around him are giving out plenty of positive vibes, and as has already been suggested there are signs the club is returning to the values of the real Port Adelaide at last, but like no doubt many I too don't see any humour in those numerous wasted seasons when a decision to rissole the previous coach could have been made as early as 2017, and SHOULD definitely have been made after the 2021 prelim disaster, and the less said about his ridiculous 2025 farewell tour that before it had even commenced consigned yet another season to the rubbish bin of history, the better!

What Ramm does share with Andrews is a bit of mongrel. Watched him closely in his AFL game and he did those really annoying defender things to put his opponent off. Makes his physical presence known.

When webster was appointment, there was at least one post expressing a bit of concern about him being Josh's mate. According to Reeves' presser, he hadn't had previous connections with Carr, so it is an appointment on merit. Any coach worth their salt needs a diverse coaching group. I'm liking Carr's judgements on what he and the playing group needs.

Its just a real backhander to the Hinkley era that Rooch used to fallate. I guess once regime change is made and you work as a propagandist for the regime, you go with the flow. The King is dead, long live the King. Rooch is a cockroach.

Its not explicit, but every emphasis placed and every role created and filled is the opposite of what Ken would have done.

Cockrooch

Couple of those comments in the SEN interview were the verbal equivalent of putting Dencorub on Hinkley's towel ;)
