I’ll hold my judgement until at least Smillie makes his debut.Yeah, I did. I thought he was much more likely to be AFL quality than Smillie for example.

Exactly, I was told repetitively that you weren’t relying on your senior players this season. You mean told our young players carried us to 5 wins … like Lalor, Armstrong, Hotton, McCauliffe, Clarke, Smillie, Gibcus…. who barely played?
How could Richmond fans say young players who didn’t play carried us to 5 wins?
So because Allan debuted he’s ready to be judgedI’ll hold my judgement until at least Smillie makes his debut.

I saw him play. I saw his WAFL numbers. It doesn’t look great thus far. But it’s very early….. but I’d be a little concerned …. but just a little. He’s got time.So because Allan debuted he’s ready to be judged![]()

I am happy with Allan, would’ve been nice if he had a clear run at it but I still think he’ll be a very good afl playerI saw him play. I saw his WAFL numbers. It doesn’t look great thus far. But it’s very early….. but I’d be a little concerned …. but just a little. He’s got time.
When you see the other selections taken soon after him are you still happy with Allan?

If we ever ask for special
Richmond were rebuilding during GC and GWS. In 2010 we were 0-9 with a percentage under 50%. Brendan Gale was asked multiple times in various forums (like referenced in that Age article) whether Richmond were going to ask for special draft assistance … he said no.
That’s ok … your club asked for assistance 5-years after making finals and 7-years after a flag…. In a year you’ll be getting pick-2 for Allen.
Meanwhile, Richmond said they’d not ask for assistance after a decade of no finals and 30-years since our last flag … with GC and GWS taking the Lions share of top draft picks.
As I said … I don’t believe we will ask for assistance and I will be embarrassed and disappointed if we do. It’s pretty demeaning and I never thought I’d think of the Kangas and Eagles as both being minnows.
Your club asked for help and that’s fine. If you support that then no worries, your call. I hope we never do.
Wow, pretty pathetic to use someone's death to try to score imaginary points in an internet argument, not gonna lie. This is legitimately the worst take I've read on BigFooty in a while.
You're suggesting that Richmond replace the head of recruiting who died the week of last year's draft???
Are you concerned about Smillie being exposed as a man child prior to being reinjured?I'd be concerned about him.
Poor training standards also apparently. Conditioning was quite bad this year. Must be mates with Zane Duursma. Are you concerned about Smillie being exposed as a man child prior to being reinjured?
is the sabrina carpenter song about smillie? Are you concerned about Smillie being exposed as a man child prior to being reinjured?
Tall slow outside mid with a below average kick, they’ve drafted Blake Acres at 7.Poor training standards also apparently. Conditioning was quite bad this year. Must be mates with Zane Duursma.
Probably was training with Harley reid in the off seasonPoor training standards also apparently. Conditioning was quite bad this year. Must be mates with Zane Duursma.
Funny thing is that Harley said on the player's interview earlier in the year it was due to hanging out with Zane during his first offseason that he ended up coming back in such poor shape. Didn't train much and ate shit food while hanging out.Probably was training with Harley reid in the off season
Well good luck with the other duursmaFunny thing is that Harley said on the player's interview earlier in the year it was due to hanging out with Zane during his first offseason that he ended up coming back in such poor shape. Didn't train much and ate shit food while hanging out.
Hence him staying in Perth this offseason and training with Baker & Graham.
He's the one who needs to be on the Zane & Harley diet.Well good luck with the other duursma
Young is a McGovern short term stop gap.
Wow
I like Young and he’ll be reliable and he’s been in elite performance environments for a long time with his soccer background.
But mate you dont have anything close to a McGovern within the foreseeable future on your list.
Waterman took him to the cleaners.
2 words. Bo Allan. Wasn’t he the guy you got because you dropped down the draft order due to committing to Baker? Oh well … at least Baker is your best player.
I'd be concerned about him.
Maybe trading pick 3 for bo Allen and baker is something a donkey would do.You really wouldn't. Be honest.
In reality your just being a ...........

Are you concerned about Smillie being exposed as a man child prior to being reinjured?
An apparent low bar for the tigers players and a high bar for eagles will do that. Are you concerned that 7(88%) of the 8 players Richmond drafted in 2024 have already shown great signs at AFL level in their first year?
Or that over 50% of the 7 players Eagles drafted in 2024 look like spuds so far?
For starters I’d like to thank you for getting me more invested in this thread. You wouldnt know.
Move along.
