BlahBlah Bogue - looked to be very, very closely checked. Good defensive game from her Brissie opponent. Just one of those days where she didn't get the bounce of the ball.

Her pace allowed us to be a bit more hectic/direct at times with moving the ball forward this season.

Eliza Shannon - heart & soul and heart-in-mouth player. Geez she's tries, but gets the old heart rate up!

She was great in the defensive 1v1s, hitting targets with the ball in hand isn't her forte though.

The romantic in me would've loved to see her kick a goal in every game of her first season!

Amazing effort by the whole organisation to do what Croc and this team has just done.

The experienced heads really stood up at important times during the game and Sherrin an absolute deserved winner of BOG but Ash with 39 touches (20 contested) is like watching Lauren Jackson dominate during her heyday - you simply take their greatness for granted.

Speaking of greatness- J Gardner is the ALFW and Croc has just entered the books as one of the greatest coaches in NM history.

Yeah it was the only sour point on the night. Basically no players came to the back side of the big rectangle area so my daughter and I stood around for nearly an hour for nothing.

Not to sound ungrateful on a night like this or anything, but the concept didn't work.

Gatty & Alice O - a few injury issues through the season hampered them matching last year's output. This is one of the reasons we can get better next year.

Alice O's mental toughness to come back and play hard post her collision injury is to be commended. She'll be back to her brutal, crazy eyed best in 2026.

Thought Brisbane as looking better for long stretches. Guess the inside 50 count confirmed that.

Our forwards didn’t really fire.

They looked really dangerous on transition

But we still won by 40 points

Hard to believe that the NMFC defensive unit has now totally blanketed the Lions in successive Grand Finals but somehow none of them have been awarded an All-Australian Blazer in those two years. The AA judges tell us that it's the defensive system that North employs that makes them unbeatable, but you need the players with the skills, talent and determination to implement that system and make it work as well as it does.
