Watched Brad Stewart neck Eftroop out of the gates at 1-40 to park it 3 wide the trip over 1000 and be beaten a lip. Then tell stewards it couldn't go early.

Alizee getting an outside draw is preferable. He’ll go back and circle them on the turn. People just have to decide whether or not the price is enough considering the map and how the track could be playing. Certainly not a bet for me before the day.

Avillius is the worry drawing the inside. Personally I think he could be near the best 2000m horse in the country if targeted at the trip. But Bowman won’t be pushing through any half gaps or forcing his way through traffic so it’s unbackable for me on the weekend.
