Great record of Dimmers to start his coaching career don't you think?
Here’s the difference
Hardwick helped transform the old, unprofessional Richmond into the club you see today. Even when we stagnated and went backwards for a bit, he wasn’t damaging the club.
Hird, on the other hand, knowingly allowed a reckless drug program to occur that eventually nearly tore your club apart.
And still didn’t get any results whatsoever.

It truly is a shame that Hardwick is not a 230 game Essendon coach.

For Essendon to instead go for Knights and then Hird is not only laughable, it's incompetent.

Essendon would have had a relatively successful, and cheaper last 10 years.

Not sure, Essendon's list management is starting make Tambling > Franklin, as a good idea !!!

You left out Bomber Thompson.

Jungle drums may start beating for Hird to return to Essendon as head coach.

That's a bit unfair imo Hardwick was on the verge on getting sacked before the Tigers won a flag it's not like the Tigers picked some coaching guru that no one else knew about.

At least players gave a **** under Hird.

For all of Hird's faults you can't deny players loved playing him.

When he took over as coach at the end of 2010 the Essendon list was widely recognised as being the worst in the league, he got the best out of a rubbish list.

We nee a coach like that

I don't get that with Worsfold just too calm and bland doesn't instil any passion where you would bust a nut for him.

The current Essendon list is the best list they've had since the early 2000's and Worsfold just isn't the right man.

If Hird was coach of this list he would have them pushing top 4 and being a serious premiership contender.

Agree with the first part

the second....im less sure about.
but a modern coach is something we need. Either hand it to Rutten and demote Woosha, or start tapping up Caracella.
