"Yeah look. We know Fremantle are a quality side & they'd be eager to do well in front of their home crowd. We expected that. And we know that any team coached by Ross Lyon will be up for the fight, and unfortunately, we just weren't able to match them in certain areas today. You know. We won the contested footy & the inside 50's were pretty even. But we just made some fundamental areas at critical times, and good teams like Fremantle make you pay when you do that. We walk away from here knowing our best footy is good enough to match it with any team, but we just need to learn how to sustain it for longer."

"We all know Nat Fyfe is a champion of the game, and when he's in a mood like he was today, sometimes you just have to sit back and admire one of the greats of the game."

"We think Robbie will be right next week. He could've played today but we erred on the side of caution. We're confident he'll be right to go next week but not being one of the medicos, it's hard for me to comment."

And all the while fondling his ear lobes & scratching the back of his neck.

"Well you can't tackle the opposition when they're taking marks" in response to a low tackle count. :stern look

"I don't think we possessed the ball enough" in response to having 90 more handballs than the opposition. :stern look

Bitterly disappointing thread.

Yeah look round 1 has been a bit of a moz for us over my tenure so it was good to get a solid win in the road.

*inaudible question*

We always knew what we were getting with Bailey. Clearly a kid who gives his all and his performance reflected that. He got it a lot and finished well.

*inaudible question*

Yeah we've never doubted Paul's determination, he's fitter than he was last year and we can only see him improving on what was already an impressive performance.

This one hits hard

Of course it's disappointing but there's 21 weeks to go.

We'll have a really good look at all 46 players and see who wants to play for North Melbourne (spoiler alert: no changes)

Our entries into the forward 50 need some work.

Pleased with our competitiveness.

Generic stuff, Generic stuff, Generic stuff, Generic stuff, Generic stuff, Generic stuff, Generic stuff, Generic stuff, Generic stuff, Generic stuff, Generic stuff,...............it's back to the drawing board to regroup for next week.

Brad Scott: I’m a dumb campaigner without a clue, but I can do a mean PowerPoint presentation.

I love Jamie McMillan, he is the first one I pick each week.

Players who can win the ball and use it won’t be part of my side, I prefer spuds who are shithouse one on one and can’t kick.
