I'm not blaming Cooper Sharman for this performance. There are many issues.

But I'm really starting to get frustrated with his lack of effort. It's becoming a trend.

When he is up and going, he looks like he can be a superstar. Second half vs. Richmond. Fremantle game.

But too often he is anonymous. I understand forwards rely on service but you can still present, compete, chase, tackle, show intensity, regardless of this.

Today, he is dropping marks, letting lumbering defenders run around him. Showing no intensity around the contest.

He is in danger of becoming a downhill skier if he doesn't start to find some consistency. It's just frustrating because we all know what he is capable of.

If we ever make a GF I hope like hell we’re not relying on Owens to kick a simple, or any, goal in a tight game.

Everything about his goal kicking is horrendous. Stats will suggest he’s kicked 0.1 so far today. Very misleading.

Our midfield is lifting and getting on top with Sinclair, Steele, Macrae, Nas and Phillipou but our forwards are still letting us down.

Sharman is having no impact, Collard very little impact again, Owens wasting shots at goal and Higgins with just one goal so far.

The umpiring has been a joke and is favouring West Coast at home as per usual but we should be good enough to overcome that.

Our midfield is officially the slowest in the competition and unless they can lock the game down and make it a grind we struggle. Marshall and our defense have been good but wee need a lift from others. The quality of forward entries hasnt been great, but our forward line is really dysfunctional. Owens kicking on goals is always going to be an issue, but 1 point from 3 gettable shots on goals is very ordinary.

That's because he's been playing as a forward and the way we're just dumping the ball in there, I'm not surprised he's hardly been near it.

It's actually embarrassing in a pro sport but we are absolutely shit as well. We are the most inconsistent side in footy. We can look a million bucks every 5 weeks then look like the worst side in footy in between.

2. We have a sustained run of bad form (1 in 6).
3. We were absolutely atrocious last week as Carlton’s result this week shows, they are not good.
4. Don’t trust the senior players to perform if put under serious pressure by west coast.
5. We’ve picked a weird team, forward line is completely unbalanced.
6. Shouldn’t even be said really cause it’s much bigger then football but the Selwood tragedy factor, you never how it will affect the team.
