great game to watch.
super impressive first up display by Adelaide
great momentum burst by both teams throughout the game

The last touch rule is an absolute blight on the game. I'd rather have umpires make judgement calls on deliberate out of bounds than have frees paid against players for an accidental toe poke at the footy.
Disagree. There is no ambuigity with last touch rule. Having umpires make judgement calls is just asking for inconsistency which is more frustrating.

Stand rule is great, it means teams can move the ball quickly and change angles much more easily. That’s good for us as fans.

King just needs to create controversy. If Jack Riewoldt is arguing against you for the umpires in something it’s unlikely you’re right.

Momentum is everything in football and that horseshit 50 to Tex completely f***ed us.

Id say giving up a 6 goal lead meaning you needed everything to go right and couldnt recover from one decision (which was actually correct btw) was probably the thing that ****ed you.

Same as the 2025 prelim. Outplayed for most of the game, had 1 or 2 good runs and then blame the umpires for ruining a nailed on come from behind win.

Well if a 14 point win is by your definition a "smacking" I'd be interested to see what word you churn out when a winning margin is 42+ points...
I would say a 14 point victory , away, against Collingwood at the MCG with the crowd support they have, is a pretty good rogering. Crows absolutely controlled the game for the majority of the match. Plus , because Collingwood.....

It's a win for sure but not a smacking.

Honestly some of the best umpiring I’ve ever seen. It was great. Go crows.

It does when Cripps can't chase and tackle them because he's lazy and only runs in one direction.
Lol- it was 10 minutes from full time after cripps had done 14 kms of running against a whippit who may have done half as much. Show me a video in AFL where a 195cm can outrun a 175cm small forward, anywhere, anytime. Weird flex by you

The Tex 50-meter penalty. 100 percent spot on. He was moving off to take a kick, and the Collingwood player ran straight past him into his protected zone. No direct opponent. 50 meters every day of the week. Should have been 100-meter penalty for Umpire dissent.
Plus... steele Sidebottom not standing still on the mark trying to put off goalkickers should be a 50m penalty as well, everyday of the week, and on sundays

It was a close game. Not sure where you got "plenty" from, Collingwood hardly travels lol.
You know what the AFL's like
We'll be playing Collingwood in Adelaide for the next 5 years and never in Melbourne to protect Rankine from Collingwood fans.
It's probably why we played last night. They didn't want the image of 60k people booing an aboriginal player again. But still wanted the strong crowd due to the controversy giving it a little bit of a shot in the arm making it a bigger game.

Shock off the rust last night and cob webs Pies.

Got the Pies making it 2-0 in 2026 and winning here v crows mcg by 18 points

Same as last night this time Crows they start well.
pies settle into the game.
Chip along and better as the game wears on.
Good game here.
Attendance say 73k
Pies at the MCG here.
Pies by say 15 points in another rope and dope style game.

Weather nice conditions here for this match.
Touch cooler then that Saints game tho.
Light breezes.
Dry and nice under the lights.
Comfy.
Pies by 18 points here.
Be a good game but Pies knows the MCG well.
Settled in nice v saints.

Want the Pies to start well kick first say 4-5 goals of the game.
Control it from there on in.
Run out say 28 points winners.
And put on a good show Pies.
Love it when its Party Pies at the MCG.
Need a say 4-5 goal win here i feel and think we are over due as well.
Honest question - Have you forgotten the login details to your aliases?

Bit like how gather round is not a showdown game? Virtual free 4pts for both SA teams in a so called neutral round for all teams…. 🤦‍♀️😂
Mate - There's more access to this game for Carlton fans than the MCG on Grand Final day for Adelaide fans.

So don't say that's neutral and this isn't.

Adelaide looked like a completely different team with Ah Chee in the side. Loved the way they played last year but holy cow!! That third quarter they really ripped the Pies apart.

Ah Chee was solid but I don’t think he had that much impact on the game.

Of the new players I’d say McAndrew had the most impact. I’ve said a lot that I don’t think rucks make that much impact but he proved me wrong last night. We dominated centre clearances in large part because of him and that was a big factor.
