This is our lot at the moment, us and the bombers are the 2 worst teams in it. Look for the positives, fawcett looked good in his 2nd game and Grjl keeps getting better.

The least said on Ryan the better.

Our skills were awful today. I don’t want people using the kids as scapegoats when our senior players were playing like that. The fact we lost all 4 quarters says enough.

Fawcett had a solid second game. Loved his second quarter. Grlj was great in the first half. Lalor was great in the last quarter. MRJ was solid.

Big question marks on our coaching staff. We knew Port would outrun us from defensive 50 chains (they’ve done this every time playing against Yze), so why did we play all of Hopper, Taranto, Ross, and Prestia in the midfield? He needed to try something else instead of locking in the loss Thursday night. Too vanilla with his coaching and selections. Winning clearances and contested possessions didn’t matter one bit in the end because of the mix he picked

didnt see kmac in the centre once, insane. grilf gets a 2 second cameo in there and immediately looks at home and causes the oppo headaches. but nah scrap that, lets roll with one paced hacks regardless of how badly theyre being exposed.

Whereas we just throw it on the boot and blindly hope. Not sure if its our half backs that aren't working hard enoigh or mids not looking... probably both

Was at the game today. Grlj was the ONLY one consistently running into proper space, and our backs just weren't looking for him. They always took the easy long option to a contest.

Effort wasn't too bad today - it's just the fundamentals - the basics we get wrong. The skill's coach (kicking) needs a roasting. The coaching in general is a concern. Prestia's kicking was about the worst I've ever seen.

I liked the games of Gray, Rioli, Fawcett, Miller, Grlj, Green, Sonsie & Lalor

Up until Ryan's punch off the ball, I liked what I saw of him - lots of potential. But mentally he's way off.

Positives - Grlj shows more will and intent than most the senior list
Lalor - seemed to have a hand in every goal we kicked
Pressure was good at times

Negatives - too may to list, picking Ryan after 2 quarters of vfl was beyond a joke fmd, senior players such as Hopper, Ross, Banks, Broad gave us absolutely jack shit today, to kick 6 goals on our home deck against port was horrific.

Forward line entries and leading patterns are bordering on non existent.

Really want the kids to get fit so there is something to enjoy, this team is close to the worst skilled squad I’ve ever seen

Grlj playing with intent really highlights the lack of effort by some of our senior players. Just got it in second gear and doing what they need to do.

It’s going to be a longggggg year. Why does it look like we’ve gone backwards and i thought it couldn’t get any worse than the last 2 years.

Cos the game gets further away from the Taranto/ Hopper/Prestia/ Ross types. We are still playing 4 of them.

Then Vlas and Broad another year past their prime. Players like Banks/Brown/McCauliffe are extremely average.

It aint getting better until the high draft picks get 50+ games and most arent even playing yet.

It’s the strategy and I put it on the coach. Three games in, no adjustment, same strategy. Just bang it on the boot and pray.

Honestly the worst part of watching footy, can accept being shit, but the umpires make it hard to watch. Don't watch neutral games any more. They've ****ed the sport

The game is over arbitrated and often biased. They've ruined it. The standing rule is a joke.
