I agree but obviously he’s form doesn’t warrant selection according to the VFL followers so that’s that; and to be honest Daniel’s has been great in 2026. I’m sure Spargs will be the same Rd 7 2027

Anytime anyone says that to you just say “Oh yeah you’re dead right getting Hardeman and Tucker was a massive concession by the AFL, definitely the reason North Melbourne are improving.”

Agreed, would happily not see him in the 1s again. All he does is dinky 15m sideways and backwards kicks with the occasional kick forward. He is still a 1 on 1 defensive liability. I still remember watching him last week against the Tigers looking panicked with ball in hand and no one near him and looking to offload it like a hot potato. I mean if all their role is to do is sideways and backwards kick it 15ms and look like a deer in the headlights with 0 defensive output or attributes, I'll put my hand up to do it as a fat past mid 30s year old with a bad back that last played footy several years ago at an accountants footy day on 30% of his salary

Charlie Spargo also hit up a leading forward last week with the kind of inside 50 pass only two or three of our other players are capable of.

I'm not saying he's at peak fitness and condition, but I do know they're trying to get him back there as quick as possible and that the best way to get AFL match fit is playing AFL matches.

This is what his club was saying about him in a flag year:



He had 18 disposals, five score involvements and two goals in their prelim win over Geelong that year.

He can play. Of that there is zero doubt.

After watching a few other games this round I am seriously worried that the stand rule is going to be used to f us over. I’m putting it out there right now that GWS will be gifted 3 plus goals from stand rule infringement 50 metre penalties. Hopefully it won’t be enough to roll us
