So good down back.

People say he is a midget yet today he was standing next to Motlop and he looked wider, okay the midget refers to his height but even there is is as tall as Motlop or looks it from 100 meters away.
Motlop isn't exactly huge.

Leave him in the backline.

He might never win a brownlow but he could end up as our Corey Enright (different type of player but in terms of impacting games there are few better)

Looked good behind the ball, but with Ambrose and McNeice available, and Gleeson yet to return, he's still probably better up the ground.

I think our best defence looks like the below; maybe that question mark spot could accomodate McGrath, but there's probably worse players elsewhere on the ground we could shuffle out of the side.

Gleeson - Hooker - (Ambrose/Hartley/McNeice) (as per match-ups)
Saad - Hurley - McKenna

McGrath playing more on the wing since his running power is excellent and he's able to play that inside / outside role, and gives us the option of rolling him behind the ball if we need.

Anyone else worried that we are stifling his development by playing him in a position that he is not ready for?
Yep, lets put him in the VFL for a good 3 or 4 years

That wasn't my point. Last year he played in defense and was beating players like Eddie Betts whilst providing us with valuable run and carry and so far this year his influence has not been as great.
