There's a lot I like about him, intangibly, based on what I've seen and read.

I love that he's a bit of a character, something we need. Someone with flashy boots, a mullet, a take the game on style. However that side of things is measured and shown in that he's been captain of several teams and leadership is a noted strength. A consistent level of play is positive, too, as opposed to the ups and downs that can follow those sorts. The perfect combination of "character" and maturity, based on what I've read.

Also that he won the Morrish Medal as a defender is impressive, tying with a midfielder.
