Feel free to check your own numbers. I double checked the results, but I was drunk, rushed it during half time of the Bucs-Eagles game, and the pocket calculator I was using cost less than my pencil did. If I'm wrong about something, just let me know, and I'll change it. I won't get mad unless you do. ;)

Some Thoughts:

1. The secret plan to use the new system to overthrow WW has worked so far.
2. It didn't work on Showbag who is apparently the alias WW uses when he barracks for Richmond
3. Hippie gets this weeks 'Hosed By The New System Award'
4. You_Idiot had a lot of correct picks.....if it was 1985.
5. I always lurk Porthos' AFL comments. It's possible he might be the genius he billed himself....in an AFL context.

And what is wrong with the tipping of Richmond supporters?
Nothing, as the top three are all massochists(sp). I know I got 11/16.
Sitting quite nicely in 2nd,. Now if only one of my teams could actually win a game sometime in the future.
Go Packers.(Couldn't possibily lose 3 in a row at Lambeau)

You're right, brother. We long-suffering Richmond supporters did have a good week in the tipping comp for the most part.

Hat, you need to lift your game and join the rest of us. ;)

You're probably not too far off on that, Mooster. 1985 was probably the last good year I had at handicapping the NFL that I had, but maybe not, give or take a few years forward-- until last year. :)

I had a pitiful opening week by my standards, but I will bounce back and be right in the thick of the hunt before much longer.

And now, speaking of bouncing back with resilience, here are my tips for Week 2...

16 - Tampa Bay over Carolina (do the Bucs have the best defence ever?)
15 - Oakland over Cincinnati (hey, it's the Bungles, and a good reason to rate the Raiders :D highly this week)
14 - San Francisco over St. Louis (look for the 49ers to run roughshod in the House of Bulger) :p
13 - Minnesota over Chicago (I think my picking the Bears over the Niners may have inspired Mooster's "1985" comment?)
12 - Buffalo over Jacksonville (The Bills' defence looks menacing, especially with the addition of Lawyer Tillman)
11 - Seattle over Arizona (look for Alexander to get the better of Emmitt Smith)
10 - Green Bay over Detroit (moreso picking against the Lions than in favour of the Packers here)
9 - New York Giants over Dallas (Kerry Collins might be able to do whatever he wants against the Dallas D)
8 - Baltimore over Cleveland (the "old" Browns to defeat the "new" Browns)
7 - Tennessee over Indianapolis (I'd rate this higher, but Peyton Manning always poses a potential to allow the Colts to bounce back)
6 - New Orleans over Houston (another one I'm not very certain about, especially after the Texans' win over Miami last weekend)
5 - Atlanta over Washington
4 - New York Jets over Miami (when was the last time Miami opened a season 0-2? Might happen here, if Vinny's play-calling is better than it was against the Redskins)
3 - Philadelphia over New England (when was the last time two teams that were shut out in Week 1 met in Week 2? Just wondering...)
2 - San Diego over Denver (based on home-field advantage, and little more than that)
1 - Pittsburgh over Kansas City (not too convinced by this pick, though, but only because of KC's defence)

And if it's any consolation to myself, at least I'm in the top three in the MLS tipping comp over at BigSoccer.com. I always have those laurels to fall back on should I have another stinker in NFL Week 2. :D

1. Pittsburgh Steelers at Kansas City Chiefs
2. Washington Redskins at Atlanta Falcons
3. Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts
4. Miami Dolphins at New York Jets
5. Seattle Seahawks at Arizona Cardinals
6. Denver Broncos at San Diego Chargers
7. New England Patriots at Philadelphia Eagles
8. Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens
9. San Francisco 49'ers at St. Louis Rams
10. Houston Texans at New Orleans Saints
11. Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars
12. Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers
13. Chicago Bears at Minnesota Vikings
14. Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants
15. Cincinnati Bengals at Oakland Raiders
16. Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Yep, picking against the Dolphins. They always lose to the Jets.

Will the equipment manager please report to the field and suit up? The Packers need someone to line up at receiver.

1. Chiefs
2. Redders

4. Dolphins
5. Cardinals

8. Ravens
9. Rams
