Don't get me wrong it's loads of fun, but on BigFooty it can get pretty messy. A trade month is two weeks too long for mine. Draft day is going to be good fun though.

I'm still figuring out who to send the counselling bill to from what the interactions with Freo posters last year did to me.

Normally half our list is rumoured to be leaving, which is pretty deflating. It's not so bad this year.

I feel for Melbourne supporters this year. Then again, I'm not even sure if they like their list.

Trade time is like a swap meet with heaps of haggling. Draft day is like christmas morning, I always preferred the couple of large, valuable presents to the lots of little presents.

Q & A with vossy. A Corn was a Point of discussion, it seems like voss is keen to keep him on the list. So there's a spot for him at the club next year?
Voss said: "Oh yeah, he'll be here; yeah, yeah, he'll be here."

Oh god, that's sure to bring the trolls out, who keep wanting to remind us of 2009.
Obviously Tippett is on our radar but by the sounds of what voss said in a Q & A, a mature midfielder is another type of player we are intrested in. We may make a play for Goddard.

Goddard at $650,000 - $700,000 is too pricey for us I think. Crazy to think that the Suns are paying Brennan $600,000 though!

Wonder what mature mids are out there that we could get. I can think of Maloney, Pearce, Rischa, and maybe Ellis (although he's hardly mature), but there's a world more clearly that I can't think of. Perhaps we need an 'Operation get an experienced mid' thread.

Would love to get Rischa back played so well in our midfield Suns play him as a tager he's not a tager. Bring him back to the club and let him run Rischa Redden Rich and Rocky might be a slow midfield but their sure to get the ball. But add Zorko Polec and Beams to the pack and we will look like a better midfield and win more clearences something that Rischa was good at. But think Rischa might still hold a grudge

Oh well, I'd expect that we'd be in the ear of GAJ. It's only an hour down the highway. Relieve him of all leadership duties & just let him play!

I think he'd be able to see himself how much things have changed at the Lions since he left - it'd be pretty hard not to, to be honest. Not sure if there'd still be a personal thing there with Vossy though. What would probably stand in the way would be that he'd have to take a paycut to come here, and after 2 years of doing the hard work being belted every week, it might be hard to move when they finally look like they might become competitive.

Rischitelli, Ellis and Maloney would all be good gets for our midfield. Especially Ellis if his body holds up. He's more than ready for senior footy and isn't getting it consistently at Hawthorn. Rischitelli and Maloney would surely help our clearance numbers.

I think Ellis could be a very good player if given an uninterrupted run at it. Potentially a b&f winner.

I wonder if there are any mids out there right near the end of their careers who we might try and pinch for a year or two, similar to what we did with Hudson. None come to mind (at least none that aren't true clubmen who would probably never consider leaving), but I'll have a bit of a look into it.

I still think Brett Meredith from the Swans is one of the potential diamonds available.

Always liked what I have seen of him, and I believe after injury interrupted the first half of his year he worked himself into some really good form in the NEAFL.

Only 23, so plenty of good years left as well.

What I think is funny, is that the trade period now has a name sponsor "Gillette AFL Trade Period"![/quote]
Trades to slash your wrists by.

Try and get Rischa back I reckon. Great user of the ball can find a lot of it. Would love to see him come back. Black will be retiring next year most likely so a mature skilled midfielder would help development of our young upcoming cubs. Goddard (unlikely), Moloney are free agents so there possible gets.

Rischa is a below avg. user of the ball
