What is kicking and decision making like SC?
If we are looking at drafting mids, they MUST have elite kicking skills.
There's not gonna be that many elite kicks in any draft pool and most will go in the first round so saying the must have elite kicking is a but dramatic but his skills and decision making are both fine for AFL football. I'm a big fan.

Problem is that ELITE kicking skills are very few and far between. That word gets thrown around so much that kids with good kicking skills get called elite all too easily.

Can really play. :thumbsu:

Sorry to intrude, but you've obviously seen a bit of TAC Sin.

If you draft Jones do you play him as a back flanker or as a midfielder? Do you think he's in-out or just an inside midfielder?

People would probably answer those questions differently now to what they would have 8 weeks ago.

Reckon him and Battersby will shoot up the order in the next BF mock phantom.

Fair call.
I suppose when you see guys like Curnow, Armfield, Bell and Robbo turn the ball over, we just need to get as many reliable kids onto the list that can hit targets. This is why I really hope Bootsma can really develop over the summer - his kicking is very very good.

Height, speed, skills, all going for him. Just needs to start his bulk.

I'd take a good, neat, dependable kick like McLean over a banger like Bell or Robbo. Bootsma has the tools of being very handy with great penetration as well as good control.

I think he might be more a midfielder. At 181cm those intercept marks that he does so well at TAC level might be a bit hard in the AFL but he certainly has no trouble running games out or winning his own ball.

Anyone in particular that you think would be a good choice to draft with our first?

So if we off load one or two rucks in this years trade period the general consensus is that we should pick up a project ruck in the draft/rookie draft

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-09-18/big-boys-head-to-combine

or has this already been covered?
international rookie prospect?

Mark Cisco
Club: Columbia University
D.O.B.: 17.7.91
Height: 207cm
Weight: 115kg
Potential ruckman from Columbia University with a basketball and American football background. An imposing athlete who has great appetite for the competition. Has a natural leap - (SVJ - 70cm, RVJ - 85cm) both impressive together with his absolute reach for a potential ruckman at 207cm. Has a double degree in political science and psychology

How do Ivy League scholars go compared to Rhodes Scholars?

Well a rhodes scholar is a post graduate scholarship for the best of the best.

It doesnt sound like he would have done any post grad, just has two undergrads at an Ivy League school, that being said it's still an impressive feat, although althetes do get in easier than others to schools that traditionallya re very hard to get into.

I just keep learning on this site. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

Still reckon we go after Patton however.
