According to knightmare bance is a good mover - agility and speed wise but poor with his disposal efficiency. That combined with his op made him slip so much which is why i wouldnt think sydney or gws would bid in him especially when they have talent who are leaps and bounds better than bance - hopper mills- syd and sheil greene etc who are still young

apparantly we are into Ryan Gardner.

hopefully lasts until our first pick. he needs to put on some bulk but is a good user of the ball.

he might be surplus as we have a few of the same types.

AFL highlights packages are a dangerous thing because everyone looks like a champion but speedy midfielder David Cuningham has some good traits, pace, solid body looks like he can play inside/outside and uses his pace to take the ball away from congestion with good lateral movement. Long kick too.

Jock Cornell looks like a good solid footballer's footballer. Medium forward can play midfield, strong build, strong overhead, reliable kick fearless attack on the ball.

If we get the above 2 mentioned players we'll have the nicknames sorted out fairly quickly ("Strop" & "Bucky").

This is only the second time where I've really hoped for a particular type of player.
First there was the fat kid that lived down the road but could play footy instead of an athlete who couldn't. It even pre dates REH's Bargearse.

Now its time to get a kid that can score goals out of his arse whilst blindfolded and being spun around that harrasses, and harrasses, and then harrasses some more.

No more 6'2" jack of all trades please. They've become the modern day version of the early 2000s athlete that can't play footy but will learn.

Not keen on Cornell, but Cunningham looks really good. Just needs to find the ball a lot more.

We recorded some podcasts last night so look for part 1 tonight where Portia, former AFL scout missionpossible and myself do a mock draft of the first round and talk about the draft as a whole and the changes to draft night. Part 2, which should be up Friday night, is where the three of us discuss the players that should be available come our pick and who the most popular choices are.

Agreed, and some highlight a player's truth, which can be detrimental for them...

Fiorini has pretty good disposal but the amount of times he goes sideways, backwards or short on the kick in his highlights is interesting... I find it hard to believe that we would go for that type, given how much we value the run off of half back... We had one of those in Brad Symes, but was moved on, and i certainly don't think we would lean that way, unless it is a balance thing, or we want to hold on to the ball a bit more in the back half.

Not a fan of holmes (purely based on that footage). He is like the diet coke version of ollie wines. Where ollie can find the ball inside, then break from congestion, holmes does not. He looks like a 'slap it on the boot' kind of guy. Lacks a bit of composure, or does not have the confidence to get out of traffic, which may come as he gains a bit more size. At 81kg however, playing against fellow kids, you think he would be more developed as he is not too far away from his 'fighting weight', which should be around 83kgs.

Would rather tom glen or mountford with that second pick
