I think he could be a guy that puts it together elsewhere and that would frustrate me but we can't just sit on our hands anymore there is just as much chance he becomes another clogger.
That's why I'd give him 1 more chance, 2 years for mine would be too many. If we get something we can't refuse in a trade then sure trade him.
He can't get a game despite our weak midfield... trade.
He played half the season and he's only 22.

Pick 9 for both probably wouldn't get it done. Worth looking at though. In such an even draft could be a great move

Wouldn't be a terrible move. The only reason I wouldn't want us to take it is the possibility of Brodie or SPS to sliding to 9. They definitely won't make 14.

On an unofficial Port fan Twitter this morning the guy claimed Ah Chee has officially requested a trade to us... Can anyone confirm anything like that? Do you guys want to see him leave or prefer to keep him?
Trading Brendan AhChee would be a travesty. It would be an admission by the coaching panel, one non-performer in particular, that they/he have failed in their/his job (as they have failed in their job with so many others on the list who went backwards this year).

What coach tells a player like Arch, who can handball like Polly Farmer over packs and handball like a laser gun thru them, to handball less and kick more?

Arch revealed this in an interview a couple of months ago.

Once I find out which coach it was, you can have him ... if he's still there.

Having said that, if you put a first-rounder on the table ....

lol the hawks.

2015 - pick 15 for Jed Anderson
2016 - pick 14 for Mitchell

They've traded Jed Anderson for Tom Mitchell.

Yes, we mustn't give AhChee away for peanuts, he is worth much more to GCS than just what he is worth. He is the key to keeping Callum at their club.

Campbell said clubs that were unhappy with the Giants' Academy system and the growing stocks available to them still had the opportunity to bid for those players.

"It’s not like you can’t get them because they are in the academy players can go anywhere. If Essendon pick Will Setterfield at one he’s not going to say he’s not coming."

This is a complete fallacy

Academy players cannot just go anywhere

Port cannot have access to academy players.

how can port have access to Bowes? In what reality could port, with pick 9 , ever have access to Bowes ?

The reality is teams can only ever have access to the academy leftovers that the teams never want to sign at all like Howard and Austin. The comments from whoever that they intended to sign Austin with their next pick if we didn't were obvious bullshit to sell academies as a good thing for other teams.

If GWS wanted to draft Austin with their next pick they would have. They have that option and 20% discount.

Damn it!
I already had the Gooey sign made!
Seriously though, if that guy was for trade, I'd sell the farm to get him here. He is an AA contested beast in the making.
Signed to the end of 2018 and taken at #5 in 2014 with his mate Darcy Moore. His first two years were pretty good , he's the kind of player Bucks is banking on so I can't see him going anywhere fast.

I do partially agree with this sentiment, but Ah Chee went at 40% of his disposals being kicks. That's far too low, regardless of how well he can handball.

So many bad plays this year were due to UFHs that maintained oppo pressure on us instead of taking the relieving kick option.

Ah Chee needs to develop his game into a well rounded midfielder going at 50-60% disposal by foot where his handball is the weapon that elevates his game - not the only element to define it. But yes, this is where the coaches may have let him down.

Interesting.... Would we look at this ??

What does the draft pool like like for mids outside the top 10?

We need an injection of top end quality in the middle. If there's barely any difference between 9 and 14 then I'd be happy to look at this if we can get a couple good mids.

Yeah, hitting Dixon lace out with a handball, inside 50m doesn't help anyone.

Lions get: 3 & 16. Giants get: 2, 31, 51 & 60.

That's great for Brisbane. Their academy selections will be bid on well after pick 16.

Brisbane will be massive draft winners bringing in pick 3, 16, 19 , Allison , rolls and Watson. Add that to hipwood and keays last year.

**** this is impossible for other teams to keep up with some of these expan teams. They will overrun the competition soon. Dickheads.

Yeah, you've gotta have more to your game than being able to handball 20 metres.

Apart from a few games in 2015, Ah Chee has been utterly underwhelming. Before that year he was probably in the top 3 of players to be delisted by most observers.

I'm fairly sick of these players than seem to need an extra amount of encouragement or motivation to turn up every week. No love lost here.

If we used that logic we would never trade anyone for fear it might impact on someone's reputation as a Coach. We can cover Ah Chee's loss, he is out of contract and has apparently requested a trade so what's to argue about?

We are literally the only club that hasn't done anything/been linked to doing anything.

Is it over yet?

Was just thinking the same thing. Sitting here in hope that this 'agressive' trading we're apparently doing - just springs upon us

CD still working on that Vardy file.

I thought last night perhaps a lower 2 for 1 pick deal could be in our interest.

Maybe it should be?

I don't know, if Arch played inside and got the ball in tight back conditions, I could still his hand ball bias being advantage. Surely a 20 metre handball out of pack conditions would be superior to a quick kick?

I'm with Lockhart. For as much Arch hasn't come on I think we have misguided him too!
