It's entirely possible we get something for them.
And I've argued elsewhere that we should keep pick 3, but I tell you what if we got a second and third for Clarke and Mayne, and assortment of seconds and thirds/4ths for Ballantyne, Suban, Barlow and we could do that deal with GC, that would be very tempting.

We could cut the list very hard, and replace with a lot of quality in one draft.

If we could grab Hill and McCarthy, Rotham, Logue and Sweet/Ladhams for instance we'd have crossed off every single one of our needs.

Classy mid (Hill), tall forward (McCarthy), classy, tall running back and Johnson replacement (Rotham), KPB (Logue), Ruck (Sweet/Ladhams)
Dont you know about Tim English in the ruck. He's been coached by Ryan Turnbull at Christ Church and all he needs to do is to get some bulk on his frame. He is a loca ladl playing for a great club in South Freo and learning winning habits.

I know about him, but I think we can get better value in the 20's

I find it hard to believe the doggies would trade Adams

I beleive that mature age recruits can get 1 year contracts not 2 like normal draftees, so he could go in the preseason draft and Freo would have third pick if he wanted to go back home and dogs drove the price up to much.

I heard the Adams stuff today but also a couple of months ago before he was injured, no idea how that would happen but would be a great get for us.

Over a certain age players don't automatically get a 2 year contract if drafted. Possible he's on a one year?
Minimum Contract Term for Certain Players
If a Club drafts a player who has not been drafted previously, the Club must offer that player a Contract of Service for a minimum of two AFL seasons. However, a player listed for the first time who is over the age of 23 years may be offered a single-year contract.

Surely the Dogs would offer two years though, seeing as they used a second round pick on him. On the other hand, it would be a bold move for a mature aged recruit to ask for a one year contract instead of two.

I know you are really really keen on him. Have you seen him play live before Danny? I haven't seen him live since U18s, and I know a lot of the draft commentators haven't seen him live, so was hoping to hear from someone who had in recent weeks. Hopefully he'll play for SF in the League finals so we can watch him on the tv. Otherwise I may have to get down and watch him in the flesh. I was impressed with him at U18s but I'm still not sure where this grand rise to top 5 pick contender has come from?

Already have an update then:
