Look I will never convince you otherwise, so I'm not even going to try.Come on Jen, there is no way in hell Trigg wasn't aware of it.

If Richmond aren't interested .....what does that say ???

You're operating under the assumption that Noble is responsible for that culture. That's highly unlikely to be the case, given that this (not trading contracted players who want to stay) has been Adelaide's modus operandi since before Noble even joined the club.
What you can't get around, no matter how hard you try, is that a contracted player must agree to any trade. Given that Mackay is currently in Adelaide's best 22 players (and that alone upsets you no end), is very happy playing for and living in Adelaide, has had previous opportunities to leave and turned them down... given all of those factors, it is very safe to say that there is almost zero chance of him leaving. That's not a culture thing - it's an AFL/AFLPA contract rules thing.
You have no idea how many games he will or won't play next year. Neither do I. I certainly wouldn't bet on Menzel, Wigg or Hampton playing more games than him. Milera would be a 50/50 chance at best, though he has the greatest scope for improvement. Knight is the only player from that list who is likely to play more games than Mackay in 2017.
It's not fact that he's not on the table. It is, however, exceedingly unlikely. I'd put the odds at close to 1,000,000,000:1 against that his name will even be mentioned during trade week, by anyone acting in an official capacity (i.e. not BigFooty fans clutching at straws).
Can we leave the Trigg vs Reid Tippett fiasco out of this thread please, take it somewhere else.![]()
Yeah that was a long time ago now anyway. Can we leave the Trigg vs Reid Tippett fiasco out of this thread please, take it somewhere else.![]()

Lyons is twice the player Anderson is or will ever be. Hawks got away with highway robbery. No chance of getting a hold of Norths first. Births second actually wouldn't be a good.I hope they give up something like they did for Jed Anderson. At least JL has played more than a couple games!
Money talks.Getting quality players to this state is so damn hard. Sure we got Betts, but that was also because his father was here and not in the best of health.

Be surprised. Wasn't Cloke a contracted player at Collingwood and he is going to the Bulldogs. Maybe you will say both he and Collingwood tore up the contract for next year but he is a contracted player!

Top 30 pick is probably about right. If we can get 15-20 we'd be laughing.Lyons is worth 15-20 - if we can't get that, we shouldn't even consider trading him.
That said, based on our apparent contract offer, we'll accept pick #69.
Didn't need to read anymore to know I liked this post. Some bloke saying you are a "3" for looks is really more of an indicator of his personality than anything else.
Re-employing former assistant coaches is the highest priority.Hmmm I was 50/50 on Rockliff, but if Richmond aren't interested then I'd say we should go all in on him.
Honestly, Richmond's recruiting is so completely and utterly rooted that you could do worse than base your entire strategy around just doing the opposite of what they're doing.
I think thats how we got done for Tippett.Yeah sorry... shit. I was just typing an email to Bob... think I might have sent it to John instead.![]()
I HATE the red carpet. It continues this demeaning "ranking" behaviour (again, from both sides). That the women fall over themselves to be seen on it in barely anything, is another topic again. Brownlow night should be about the players... the fairest and best (at football). I saw a terrific interview by a feminazi (not that I like feminazi's, just that I liked her interviews) - she was asking the partners what their latest career challenge was. No mention of who dressed them or how long it took them to get ready.
The world is just so fricking "hollywood" shallow, it's sad.
BrilliantIf north are getting lyons then i reckon wel get their compensation pick for wells. Should be end of first start of second rd. 20-25.
But it's definitely part of a bigger pictureLyons is worth 15-20 - if we can't get that, we shouldn't even consider trading him.

Bloody hope youre right and I wish I had your confidence. But it's definitely part of a bigger picture
So we are apparently not playing thommo , Lyons gone and CEY maybe as well
And we've got a thin midfield already
Mmm...
And that's fair enough too. I was probably not thinking it at the time, but in hindsight know I only got to hear two versions of different events. There's no doubt Trigg stuffed up. But he's not the horrendous incompetent many make him out to be.With respect to you and your relationships Jenn, I doubt you would always be told the full story - especially if that story makes the person telling it either complicit in the activity; or incomprehensibly negligent in their position.
