You've got to love Roo. He told Boak this morning that they have a good list and will bounce back next year.

Cmon Port believe that and make no changes.

It might not be next year or the year after but they will fall further once Boak and co all finish up. They have no decent young mids or forwards.

How funny was Ditts asking Boak if Port should get some ready made players like Hawthorn have done?

Then remembered Dixon and Ryder 90 secs later. Not to mention Monfries, White, Polec ...

Probably should have suggested getting players that suit the way they play, like Hawthorn do.

Not costly big name players so the PR Department can beat their chest about being a "Destination Club".

Then there was that other post who claimed every showdown he gets abused, punched, spat on by Crows supporters and we are the worst in all if the afl and SANFL? Lol, I have never had any problems in all my years going to footy games because I don't get personal with the fans around me when barracking for my team. Maybe the problem is you mate.

Pretty much any time I read a Crows supporter talking about how Port fans abused them unprovoked, or a Port supporter talking about how Crows fans abused them unprovoked, I feel very confident in assuming that the poster in question is just an arseh*le.

Not nearly as dumb as your reply...
How is my reply dumb?

Here's the context:
I think this displays Scott's thoughts that they are unlikely to progress past week one of the finals.
I've got a tip for Scott...they never will while he's the coach!!
Dumb call, considering they made the Preliminary Finals for the last 2 years.
You're the one making statements which are demonstrably false. I'm just calling you on it.

Saying that they'll never progress past week one of the finals (while Scott is coach), when they've made it to the Preliminary Finals for the last 2 years (winning 2 finals in each of those years), is ridiculously dumb.

Both times from 5-8. No one makes the GF from there
That wasn't the point that was being made though. Bicks claimed that they would never progress past week one of the finals with Scott as coach. That claim is pure stupidity. If he'd said that they'd never make the GF with Scott as coach, then I would have agreed with him.

That belief that their list and coach is fine :drunk: is what will keep them in the bottom 8 next year and beyond.:thumbsu:

More than fine. It's a top 4 list apparently!

This delusional mindset of theirs coupled with that Ryder will complete them gives me a warm feeling deep inside. Its interesting how contrasting the expectations of each supporter group was back in January of this year. They were a solid top 4, we were around the bottom half of the 8.

TBH, having the second hand car salesman in Kochie at their Club really is the icing on the cake.

Boak didn't let himself get caught up in the talk about next year did he? If he did that could land him in hot water, because it's a direct violation of their "staying in the now" slogan.

Pretty clear if they can serve up what they did last weekend consistently, top 8 would be a no brainier. But that goes for most teams.

So it's basically all but done that Sydney's home finals will be switch from ANZ to SCG.

Sydney controlling the AFL yet again.
I don't have a problem with that, personally. The SCG has always been their home ground. It was a stupid decision to play games at ANZ in the first place.

Maybe. But the Bulldogs home ground is Etihad not MCG and they were forced to play us there last year? I think what annoys me more than the actual decision by the AFL, is the fact that they just constantly cave in to whatever Sydney want.

Yeah but ANZ is a shit ground and SCG is quite good. It's not like going from Etihad to MCG is a downgrade in any sense.

Good news for Sydney.

We'd be pretty pissed if we had to play our final at AAMI Stadium rather than Adelaide Oval. Only makes sense to pay home finals at the team's actual home ground

What's that saying about if it smells like shit wherever you go you should probably check your own shoes.

That could be applied to a lot of Clubs though. The fact is that the Power treats the Showdowns like grand finals especially more so when their season has effectively ended. No one was really surprised that they turned up to try and spoil the Crows Top 4 finals chances with a "strong" performance. Crows coming off a WA trip on a 6 day break with poor accuracy was what made the Power appear better than what they demonstrated.

Though the Cats will most likely play any final at the MCG.

How many "home finals" have the Crows played away since we entered the competition? Must be at least 3 off the top of my head.

Now the Dogs have requested any home finals for them is played at the MCG.

Last year I thought it was fair enough if the Bulldogs played us at Etihad, what I thought was unfair was the talk from some people about if they were to play some teams it should be at Etihad, if they were to play other teams should be the MCG. Like why should certain teams get less or more of an advantage, especially as we were always going to get a good crowd.

In the end I figured the Victorian clubs get so much of an advantage by having the Grand Final at the MCG, and the reduced chance of travel during the finals that they should play the games where they are told.
