Well it looks as though we'll be without our first choice ruckmen in 2017.

Exactly how vital this is to our Wins & Losses column?

Nic Nat is invaluable with his contested work around stoppages and his HO's to advantage.

Lycett provides a good link up around the ground providing a marking target (kicked 14.8 in 2017)

I guess we can see if the midfield group that has been deficient in many areas when the big Fijian is the re can regroup and become a better unit.

I suspect we'll be having a down year, perhaps the bottom half, or if not, just outside the 8.

Perhaps a year spent developing younger players is more apt and have more of a red hot crack in 2018.

Will be an interesting year that is for sure.

12 -14 wins. We'll be 8th or just miss finals.

Can't really see any of the teams above us becoming worse, but there are a few below us that will improve upon their 2016 seasons - most likely Melbourne and St Kilda.

Wildcards (ie. should improve but you'd be reluctant to bet on it) are Port, Collingwood, Gold Coast and Fremantle.

Provided Petrie is not in our forward line and barring any selection debacles like in the EF, we will win most (10-11) of our home games and win about half of our away games - so about 15-16 wins.
