Brisbane was plagued with soft tissue injuries while Burton was there. I really doubt that it's a coincidence that hamstring injuries seemed to have followed him to Adelaide

How many hamstrings did we have last year? Matt Hass is in charge this year. Burton is the head of football.

It's commonly argued that changes to fitness programs usually takes around 12 months to come into effect.

What we have seen so far I am guessing would be a result of our training regime in 2016.

Talia injury could be Doedee's ticket into the team. Lever slides over to a key defensive role. Space for one more.

Problem is that we don't know if it's a strain from trying to overhit a tricky lie or if his shoulder was completely ripped off in a shark attack.

****ing joke that they keep going ping

What they have done is get us very fit, there is no doubt. But i think they have pushed the envelope a tad too far and it's time to scale it back

We simply cannot afford more injuries. I know it's early in the year, but FFS

It's not just hammies, we've had ongoing groin issues as well. Having said that, it might just be a statistical anomaly and at this stage we don't know whether the 2 today were strains, they might be related to knocks. But there needs to be an acceptance that it's looking a little off. A, "nothing to see here", will be a little annoying.

This is what happens when you go to the bargain bin for your fitness program. Getting Burton always screamed boys club. What the hell did he do at Brisbane which was so damned impressive?

Burton did a top notch job LY.... Haas this year has been not great though..

I don't think the Talia one could be too bad, was barely jogging when he stuck his hand up. Minor strain, 2 weeks

We had our best injury run in history with Burton in charge. The problem has come since Burton moved into Noble's job

Is it worth it if we're running over the top of teams?

There's a tipping point obviously where too many players out (and certain key players out) will overwhelm us but is there an acceptable attrition rate?

Is a few injuries actually preferable to expose some other players? We had the least players last year play a game for points, Dogs had most and won the flag.

I guess the bright side is, we're 5-0, and the season is only 5 weeks old, rather these now than later in the season, touch wood that everyone is right by then

Lade said on 5aa after the showdown that we are the hardest running side in the comp

Leon Cameron said in an interview in Syd after their round 1 loss that the feedback from his players was that our running capability was elite

With this in mind we are obviously pushing the envelope and need to adjust to find that fine line however with that said we are 5-0 and our conditioning has obviously contributed to our game style and wins

The club needs to adjust accordingly but we still need to keep treading that fine line to ensure that we maintain our running capablcity which is key to our game plan

You can't bank the rewards without taking some level of risk
