NFL 2017 NFL - Week 6

The Vikings have been frisky against the Packers over the last two seasons and I don't see any reason to believe they can't compete at home against Green Bay.

Recently the focus of the Vikings defence has been to try to contain Rodgers in the pocket so he doesn't have the opportunity to extend plays and I'm sure there will be a repeat of that this week.

I'd also expect the Vikings to work Floyd more into the game (he was only targeted once against the Bears) especially if Case Keenum starts as Keenan and Floyd both worked 2nd team reps during training camp.
Mike Zimmer defences have always troubled Rodgers, right back to Zimmer's time as D coordinator at Cinci.

I expect the Vikings defence to limit our offence, the Vikes will need competent QB play to win though.

Is that because they put him in the frame?

Ahhh, good ol' Viqueef week.

Their collapse has started earlier than usual, can't wait to run all over these pretenders.

Should've bought AP back, then they may have had a chance...

Don't see an issue with watching Rodgers as much as possible

You might have a burning passion for football, but do you have a "light yourself on fire" type of passion?

One man in Vero Beach, Florida, can claim to have such fiery devotion for the Dallas Cowboys, but for now he'll have to root on his favorite team while recovering from severe burns to his body.

According to the Sebastian Daily, a 27-year-old man was rushed to the hospital after lighting himself ablaze after watching Sunday's Cowboys-Packers game. The incident reportedly came as a result of a lost bet after Aaron Rodgers led Green Bay down the field in a last-minute drive that gave the Packers a 35-31 win.

Reckon this guy might be sick of watching Rodgers & the Packers too. :)

Time to start thinking about flexing MNF. Surely there were more appealing matchups this week for ESPN when the schedule was drawn up.

In a quirk of the schedule probably only of interest to me, the 49ers embark on a 5 game run against teams in the old NFC East : Redskins-Cowboys-Eagles-Cardinals-Giants
There have been long discussion about this before in previous years. MNF cannot be flexed due to the logistics associated with moving a game from Sunday to Monday and vice versa - it's why Sunday games are the only ones that are flexed....

Im more offended about having to watch the Minezzzzota Vikingzzzz for the second straight week.....BORING!!!
I don't mind watching the Vikings (except when they're kicking our arse)

One of the more entertaining D's to watch.

Their D is alright i suppose but its not like watching Denver of 2015 or anything like that, they have easily the most uncreative shit boring offense in the league bar none. Id rather watch the Colts with Brissett or the Niners with Hoyer any day of the week.

Yeah I know the difficulties involved in changing the day a games played. It was more a comment on the choice of matchup by the MNF mob and the kind of potentially dour game that feeds the flex discussion.

Seems like Green Bay is on TV every single week

Put it this way, with Rodgers, the Packers O is great probably 98% of the time.
So, if the opposing O/D doesn't turn up, then you get a blowout, but a clinic from Arod. Great viewing.
If the opposing D doesn't turn up, you get a shootout, and a clinic from Arod. Great viewing.
If the opposing O doesn't turn up, you get a close game, possible Packer loss, and a clinic from Arod. Great viewing.
If both O/D turn up, you get a classic game, possible Packer loss, and funnily enough, a clinic from Arod. Great viewing.
AND if our D doesn't show, then we get embarassed on national TV. Great viewing... for the neutrals...

Where does anyone lose having the Packers on TV??

Have convinced a clueless girl that stayed the night to leave me alone while watching the pack as it was important. I did say they were the Australian team... because green.

My experience is that the packers offense is rarely entertaining across a game. They play like one good quarter a week. The rest of the time is watching them ineptly pass protect.

In fairness we have been starting 4 guards and a centre across the line recently. Still better than Seattle though.

Sure. The comment was about entertainment factor, more than anything else. The mind does boggle how Green Bay manages to get these injuries like every single year.

It's probably what's cost them a run at a dynasty. How we havent gotten a Brady/Rodgers superbowl out of this era is beyond me.

Inept defence has cost us more. Defence is averaging 30pts a game or something in playoffs. Not going to beat the good teams with numbers like that.
